No 2-parter. The point was to fracture the Avengers and leave them unstable. Broken characters and relationships.

Nobody not named Doom is stupid enough to try and start shite with Wakanda.

That's right
Regardless the team is split up, wonder what Bruce and Thor will think once they get back from their trip

Saw it last night. More than anything I think it's a testament to how well they've crafted the MCU. BvS came across as DC vomit. Civil War had wayyyyyyyyy more characters, and they were able to balance them all so gracefully. A lot of the characters motivations and backstories have been carefully crafted over several movies, and the new guys were introduced seamlessly.
I guess my only knock would be once again the villain isn't super memorable. Outside of Loki, Marvel still hasn't had a strong villain.

I get that happened. I just meant there's no resolution. Was this meant to be a 2 parter?
I believe it was meant to break the Avengers apart before Thanos attacks in the next Avengers movie.

True but he is the one that created the massive spilt between the Avengers. And in the end that's what he wanted

They tend to pick and choose what the characters remember from previous movies.
Maybe they can go back in time to fix everything.

Nobody forgot. Hydra infiltrating SHIELD is why Cap didn't want govt oversight.

They may be in hiding, but they are not locked up. I thought the movie made that fairly clear.

At least a 3 parter, to be continued in Infinity War 1 and 2 if not others.

Mrs Bard and I saw the 9pm showing on Friday night at the new Movie Tavern at Juban Crossing. It seems this Movie Tavern may well have their shite together (we had eaten at the new WalkOns so I am basing it on all the people around us getting their food before the movie started or right after it started).
Due to getting the tickets late we were relegated to the 2nd row, which was tough for movie-watching during the early fight scenes.
The movie itself was miles ahead of the BvS trash. It had a good story that was told well. Characters made logical decisions with understandable outcomes. Powers were kept within a realm of acceptance (ex: the fight at the airport didn't have to level the entire fricking city).
-Spiderman was portrayed (both acting and writing) extremely well, about as good as it gets.
-The surprise with Ant Man was well worth it (and Rudd played the surprise/enthusiasm perfectly).
-The development of Vision and the budding chemistry between he and Wanda was spot on.
-Both Cap and Tony's reasonings were well thought-out and portrayed (#TeamCap).
-The casting team hit another home run by casting Boseman as T'Challa, it's a shame his movie doesn't come out until 2018.
-The twist with Tony's parents was fantastic!
Sadly this appears to be the last Captain America movie so this storyline will probably only get minimal movement in other movies until Infinity War comes out in 2018.
tl;dr - it was great, can't wait to see it again but from better seats

I didn't realize he wasn't signed on for more. Taking into account he is still young and hasn't hit it big outside of this character he would be dumb not to re sign. The Cap movies have been solid.

He has a ton of money already. He likes working small movies and directing as well. He can do whatever he wants at this point.

Favorite part is probably when Ant Man turned into Giant Man. Everyones reaction was just amazing. And then Stark's follow-up line of something like "uhh... if anyone on my team has any secret fantastic abilities, now would be the time to use them."
I almost jumped out of my chair when he turned into Giant Man. I thought he was gonna go subatomic when he said he had only done this once.

Well, let's hope he does just that. He's said he wants to do more Captain America movies.

Same here. I know that "technically" he was the lead in this film, but it felt like an Avengers movie to me. That's a big reason why I don't think this movie can touch The Winter Soldier.

The movie was excellent. I put it right there with Winter Soldier. Each character got an ample amount of time and they molded everything together perfectly. The additions of Black panther, Spider-Man, and ant-man were well done.
Are we to assume the villain in the movie Injected himself with winter soldier serum?
