That's because female comedians aren't up to making fun of themselves and lack of creativity. Look at ck making fun of his body/age. Chapelle dressing up like prince or a crack addict. Seinfeld was make something funny from a handicap parking spot or smoking.

I liked her first standup special, but everything since then has seemed forced and repetitive.

Her stand up sucks, but her show is pretty smart and a plays as a big frick you to celebrity culture.

Don't know anything about her comedy but I can say definitively that she's not even remotely attractive

Schumer definitely has her moments in her stand up.
She has a unique style. She is also one of the few female anti-PC warriors out there.

Her stand up is terrible, but her show actually had a couple moments.
The "is she hot" skit with Paul Giamatti is legitimately hilarious.

She tries too hard to be gross and inappropriate and thinks that funny. Because her dad's a liberal Senator, she gets more tries than anyone else would ever get to find an audience. I don't care for her, but she can occasionally be funny. Too often, she's just cringe inducing disgusting.
I will admit, she's had a couple funny sketches on her show. The 12 Angry Men parody where they asked "Do you have a reasonable chub!" was great. Also, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey celebrating their "Last F&%kable Day" was outstanding as well.

Right now she seems to be on the same bottle rocket trajectory as Dane Cook. He blew up in a hurry was allover the place did a few crap movies, was over saturated, and then fell off the map. Amy seems to have a little more going for her talent wise but time will tell.
