British TV Show recommendation for y'all

Browsing through Netflix I found a gem from Britain that has absolutely captivated me. I know some of you like the shows from across the pond, but this one has really grabbed me and pulled me into its world.
Downton Abbey. Beautifully written, extremely well crafted, wonderfully acted, and overall a damn strong show. It's part of the Masterpiece Theater offerings. The 1st season is on Netflix since the show aired already on PBS, and the 2nd season is due to start soon on PBS.
However, I was so intrigued by the show I downloaded the entire 2nd season and just finished watching all of them. The final episode of the 2nd season comes out on Christmas eve in Britain, so I'm looking forward to downloading it as soon as it's posted.
3rd season won't begin airing in Britain until September 2012.
First episode of the first season is also streaming on the PBS website. Do yourselves a favor and check it out.

Some shows are very, very well done. Might I suggest Spooks (MI-5 here in the States), Sherlock, with Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock, Being Human, Survivors, and Jekyll.
I'm looking into more. Also, the Graham Norton show is funny, funny, funny as hell!
To me, it's sexy as hell to hear a woman speak with a British accent...

The shows I listed are done better than most American shows (Being Human is different, though). NOT low quality at all. Very high production values.
Spooks (MI-5) rocks. Sometimes it's predictable, sometimes not. The writing is marvelous.
Start with Jekyll or Spooks, from the 1st episode on. These have violence, if you need that.
Downton Abbey is straight drama with some humorous moments...a LOT of humor, if you can catch the dry wit.

I liked season 1 and have just been waiting for season 2 to be done so I can run through all of them.

Thanks for the suggestion! I love British television. I like the British Being Human better than the SYFY version but both are good.
I've seen MI5, Have you seen Angela's Ashes or Life on Mars? Those were very good as well.
Where would i find Sherlock? I've looked for it on BBCA and PBS but have never found it.

Ditto on IT Crowd and Sherlock, plus Peep Show and That Mitchell and Webb Look. All three are hilarious, and Netlix has the full series of each on Instant.

Mighty Boosh was pretty funny all the way through, too bad it ended.

One of my favorite old school BBC shows was Good Neighbors AKA The Good Life.
Great show with a bizarrely sad finale. You can find all the episodes on youtube split into 3 parts.
I'm a big fan of the first 3 seasons of Coupling but the 4th season without Jeff was a big mistake.

One of my favorites. Getting ready to start watching the final season that just aired in Britain this fall.

Sherlock masterpiece series. Next three episodes coming soon. Bart Scott CANT WAIT.
Luther was awesome. Needing some more of that already.
The IT Crowd and Office for laughs.

All I can suggest is Netflix, Sherlock is there. I loved Life on Mars (UK version). Watched this at the same time Jekyll was on and this triggered my interest in British TV. I used to equate British TV with the old Dr Who and cheesy special fx, but it's not like that any more. You can search for Sherlock here, on on Surfthechannel.com...
Never heard of the IT Crowd, or some of the other suggestions. Started to watch Luthor once, but had to stop for some reason. Forgot about it until this thread. I'll take it up again. Doc Martin is good, and George Gently seems to get high ratings, too. Brit TV does have some good ones.

I also enjoy Merlin, and I see that it is making it's way to the states via SYFY
