he is serious about retiring. he has a kid now, and that is what he solely wants to focus on....being a dad.

can't fault the guy - he has provided us with some great entertainment over the years.

Jackie Brown is great, probably my second or third favorite QT movie. Not an edgy opinion IMO, I've seen several others that love it as well.

I see that got a reaction lol

Might have to watch again to see if I have a different opinion on a 2nd watch if my take is that far off

I’ve probably watched Jackie Brown 2 dozen times at least. It’s hysterical

You consider Jackie Brown a miss?

I don't.

Is it as good as Pulp, Django, Basterds, Hollywood?

No.

But it's better than the Hateful Eight. I think that's his worst.

QT had better stop these kind of movie role hires. It's gonna kill his DEI score!

JB is the "Season 2 of the Wire" for QT films

That’s actually a really good comparison. I love season two but I don’t know how someone could view it as the best season, but plenty do. I love Jackie Brown, but it definitely wouldn’t be near the top for me. That’s not a knock on JB though, QT catalog is just that good.

It's clearly better than: Hateful 8, Kill Bill, and Death Proof.

Kill Bills might be my favorite QT films so it’d for sure be behind them for me. The Kill Bill movies are nearly perfect for me. And much more rewatchable. I’d actually have The Hateful 8 above it too but I’m in the minority on really liking H8. I don’t really get why it’s so disliked on here. But for sure ahead of Deathproof. That’s the only QT movie I legit don’t like.

Same. I've watched them so many times but they never get old. I love those films.

I think QT movies get a little overhyped. Pulp Fiction and Inglorious Basterds are so staggeringly good and roughly 15 years apart, that the other ones in between them and after get hyped up way too much. Hateful 8 / Once Upon a Time in HW were misses for me.

But Leo and Sam Jackson are just hilariously magical in Django. Leo was robbed of an Oscar for that one
