I can't stop watching. The older episodes are the best.

The early seasons were really good, the show went down when they turned Eric into a idiot, Shawn into a Emo, and Cory into a huge nerd.

They never should have got rid of Minkus. Harley and his crew were good too.

It's so nice to throw this on after work while I'm making dinner and just have it on in the background. Still one of my all time faves.

Just got done watching the Lauren episodes the other day. Corey should've hit it at least once.

Without that then you don't get many of the classic episodes.

Why no Wonder Years? It was an ABC show. I’m sure there’s more to it than that.

I think only the core nostalgia Disney brands are going on Disney plus.

Their acquired libraries go on other mediums such as Hulu (which Disney is the primary owner)

BMW aired on ABC, but was a Disney production which had a lot of syndicated airtime on their network.

Just because a show is on a certain network doesn't mean that network owns it. For example, Friends was on NBC, but Warner Bros. actually owns and distributes the show. That's why it is going to HBO Max (Warner Bros.) and not Peacock (NBC).

Have to say I agree. Shawn being abandoned and damaged goods while striving for happiness was one of the key storylines of the show. It defined his relationships with all of the other characters.

I'll always have a soft spot for BMW. When I was a kid growing up my dad and I would always watch together. I agree a lot of the characters had major shifts but I think it was necessary. Early era Shawn was troubled but still a "cool kid" at least with his peers and his appearance, it only made sense his upbringing would alter him when he became a teen and young adult and shifted to more of an emo vibe. I still have no idea how or why they changed Eric so much though. From suave ladies man to bumbling ruhtard that can barely walk and talk at the same time.

Meanwhile, on Batman Beyond, he just got smarter and smarter.

From my understanding watching some BTS or docu stuff on the show, Will Friedle (Eric) was basically the "funny improv guy", and as the show went on the writers gave the actors liberty to take things to whatever levels they wanted.

I think the natural progression of most of these TGIF shows gets to a silly stage once the ideas start to wear thin late into the show's lifecycle. Family Matters eventually introduced fantasy crap like transformation chambers and Steve Urkel as an astronaut. It was just the 90s I think.

What’s really crazy is when you remember that they replaced Harley with freaking Ben Wyatt as the school bully.

Part of the reason I’m still single is because I was programmed from childhood to look for a mixture of Topanga and Elaine Benes
