Did he say his hands "set her free"? So I'm assuming it was him who killed her Mother?

Pretty bad episode. That Pernsley/deacon scene was really poorly done.

That's my guess. I'm thinking that the scars were from the lye.

Weird.

Wasn't crazy about the episode either but at least next week we get to see Chalky bash some heads and we know Capone is getting ready to frick some people up.

Not the greatest episode. I know the DOCTOR needs the singer, but I am wondering if when her job is done she doesn't get the same treatment that the white woman got earlier this season after bedding Chalky's man.

Set up episode I guess....my thoughts:

AR probably knows what real estate is in the Trust and plans to make a move on some of the properties and bank some profits.

Eli was on to the Feds as hinted earlier, but now will focus on his son instead of the business.

The son is gonna lose his temper w the wrong people and get whacked this season.

Good Dr. Narcisse was the one that killed singers mom and she's obv part of his master plan, along with having Percy kill the Deacon. I think they are gonna try to flood streets w heroin, blame it on Chaulky, and try to get rid of him....should be entertaining to watch.

Finally you see what Nucky's # 1 political informer is actually behind the Feds. (biggest revelation of the night IMO)

Capone gets blessing to kill!

I actually enjoyed this episode. Some big things were setup that are going to be awesome in the coming weeks.

I was thinking the same thing. Will's story line is setting up something bigger otherwise they wouldn't be wasting the screen time. Whatever happens to him, Eli will blame Nucky.

looks like shite is about to go down all over. I am enjoying this season outside of the weird harrow thing with his sister.

He just seems way too pretentious.

I haven't liked any characters (other than Harrow), since Jimmy was killed.

ETA: I take that back, I like Capone and Luciano's partner is alright. (The Jewish guy, Maia or whatever. Maybe it's Miah as in Jeremiah, I don't know)

Loved seeing Rothstein back in his element after the unbecoming card game scenes. That being using others for his personal financial gain.

I'm also really enjoying the Dr. Narcisse plot against Chalky White. Methinks we get a scene soon where Dunn Purnsley gets to take out some long-kept frustration in the form of beating up on Chalky...only to be the direct cause of Chalky's being able to retaliate and ultimately defeat Dr. Narcisse's infiltration into AC.

Gillian Darmody just needs to die. Her storyline couldn't be more boring. I'm still waiting for the relevance of Ron Livington's character or the revelation of his mysterious origins.

ETA: And the subtle revelation that Nucky's most powerful govt. informant, Means, is actually working with the FBI now was huge.

Oh and can we get some appreciate for finally seeing Daughter Maitland in the nood? That was fantastic.

ETA 2: How can I forget Torrio's blessing to Capone at the end? Shitstorm's coming!

While the plot line of the boss taking credit for the subordinate's work was cliche, I loved how the show incorporated Hoover's well-documented vanity into this episode to cause the potential rift between he and agent Knox.

Fock this show is fantastic in how it intertwines actual history with fiction. I hope it never ends.

The infamous handshake in the flowershop coming soon.

For those that know, Lucky and Meyer's story will be the greatest of the entire series.
