watching an episode with my grandson the other day and the dad was telling one of his kids " remember when I told you that you were special? Well, you're not." Then he went on to explain she was special to him but not necessarily to other people

I thought that was pretty funny

Just watched that very episode last night, in fact. "I'm not special anymore!" had me

I don’t think enough praise gets heaped on the art design and animation, specifically. The visuals and subtle nuances of the characters’ expressions and movement are absolutely incredible, nothing about it is half assed and the music is both original and beautiful.

Sleepytime is just one sterling example of this show at its best in all facets. It’s a perfect episode.

Dance Mode. She's still got it. I wish my wife would move like that.

If you have kids and can’t relate to the Takeaway episode then I don’t know what to say.

Forget children's cartoons, its one of the best shows being made right now, period. I genuinely laugh my arse off during episodes. It is a shockingly accurate picture of parenting.

So we just watched Sleepytime with our two year old, and he loved it and my wife and I were bawling like babies. What an incredibly sweet and beautiful episode. Damn.

ETA: what is the name of the one mentioned earlier in the thread about Chilli going to her dad’s and taking care of elderly parents or whatever?

Totally agree. My 3 and 5 year olds love it. My wife and I crack up watching it with them.

I'll try to find it tomorrow. She's chasing her dad and the kids through the woods and across the lake. Bluey and Grandad both have to learn a lesson about sometimes just having to listen to what your told, whether you agree with it or not. Great episode.

frick the old friend who sells out Grandad and the kids.

Will watch these ASAP. I find myself enjoying the episodes more than my son.

There are so many times we'll be watching an episode and my wife and I will look at each other and say "what a sweet episode/message."

Flat Pack is hands down the best episode on Bluey. It is better than Sleepy Time to me

There's a couple of lines where Bandit gets me. At one point he tells the girls "how about I do what I want and you don't tell me what to do."

I also like "I am not Dad. I am Magic Claw. Magic Claw has no children. His days are free and easy."

"This machine doesn't take imaginary coins. Go and get a job and earn real ones"

And the one where Bluey and Bingos ice creams melt

Bandit: "You had them out in the sun kid. Sun melts ice cream."

Bluey: but that's not fair"

Bandit: "bout as fair as it gets actually"

Bluey: "so we get nothing?"

Bandit: "well. You get a valuable life lesson"
