Just finished season 1 on Netflix. LOVED IT. Looking forward to season 2 in May, but can't imagine it will be anywhere near as good without (to avoid spoilers) the death of you know who. What an amazing actor and acting performance that was.

What are your thoughts if you watched?

It's even better when you consider that Ben Mendelsohn is Australian. Dude is a great actor. Everyone in that show did a great job actually. Kyle Chandler was awesome too.

Coach Taylor is the bomb and Meg would get it.

I thought he was a bit underwhelming in "Pure Country"......

Not sure how long show can last but I guess it will be a lot of flashbacks with the deceased one
Was surprised they got rid of character that quick

I also wonder what they will do with Season 2. I guess the introduction of the son at the end will complicate things and maybe the family will be investigated and looked into. I don't want this to turn into a show where they have to keep covering up things over and over and killing other people off. At the same time I don't know how else they keep the show going but then again I am not a script writer.

I really wanted the show to be one season. Tell your story and move on. It was set up that way from beginning to end. Then they bring the nonsense in at the end. I hope it's good because season one was some of the best television I've ever seen. Ben Mendelson and Kyle Chandler felt like feuding brothers: lots of love but so much fricking anger and baggage. The story was absolutely fantastic.

I thought that was the best TV show of 2015. The cast just killed it. I'm interested to see what will happen in the upcoming season. I'm guessing there will continue to be a lot of flashbacks.

I think there is so much unknown about Danny's past that it can fill up a lot of the storyline. I think the people he owes will come to collect, his son will look for answers, and the rest of the family will be in the middle of it all.

By far my favorite show on tv right now.

I have a theory about the show, and I hope the show doesn't go this direction because it was such a great story.

(SPOILERS BEWARE)

Danny...

...is a half brother. We got the story from the mother about how she and her friends were hoe-bags who would grab a new military guy every night. She then settled with the one that had some prime real estate on the Keys. Typical female.

But then we get this retired police officer who feels like it's necessary to give Danny the cassette tapes. He might be Danny's real father, but I'm not sure.

This theory would help explain why the dad went abusive-ape shite crazy on Danny after the death of Sarah. Sarah was his real daughter and he blamed the bastard Snow who was a total frick up for her death.

The show is called Bloodline after all. Gotta start playing with the title at some point.

Is it really a spoiler?

I thought they told you he was dead in the first episode?

I have a feeling Mendelsohn's character will come back as a projection of Kyle Chandler's character's sub-conscious like the sister that died did in Danny's in the first season. I very much doubt we've seen the last of him as he is by far the most compelling character on the show.

I've rarely ever felt such tension and dread in a show that had a relatively simple plotline.

Ben M just absolutely destroyed that role.

Right? I thought for sure he was a druggie from the Keys. He was that good.

His death was no spoiler really and I think his kid will be just like a younger Danny. And don't forget he saw the uncles cleaning out his Dad's place in Miami.

Still have no idea how the can improve on the first season. It really was that good.
