The only thing guaranteed are the enjoyable responses on this board. So triggered they should be ridden by Roy Rogers.

I don't understand how a movie that portrays the KKK in a bad light would trigger people.

Because I am tired of endlessly, endlessly being preached to about white racism.

Another story and another board...although it keeps creeping in.

A lot of people are really tired of being preached to about how racist wypipo are.

Hell, people won’t even know what the movie is about and this is the expected response, especially with that title.

I don’t know how this amazes y’all. It’s a very straight forward social response.

And Spike Lee will get this kind of reaction no matter what type of movie he makes. It’s just the natural reaction expected with his past as a provocateur.

If it’s a good movie, I’ll see it eventually, but it’s not a genre I flock to.

Science fiction, fantasy, and the occasional comedy are pretty much all I will watch in the theaters nowadays.

Lack of time due to work limits my movie choices to only the ones I will absolutely love.

Fair enough. I just was hoping there wouldn’t be any KKK apologists.

David Duke May be the only one who fits that bill.

The point is, if the response to this movie truly surprises you, then that truly surprises me.

The KKK is minuscule and powerless. Fighting against the Klan, of all things right now, would be akin to the police chief of Chicago focusing on the Italian mafia.

I will watch it, but I think the fact the KKK has not been a thing for the past 4 decades is the issue.

I understand this is a period piece, so KKK is valid though.

It is more of the racial divide world created by the elites to control us that has become the issue.

Let me know when Spike Lee makes a movie analyzing why his race is wiping itself out in South Chicago.

ETA: I was wrong, he did address it, good job Lee.

I am guessing more black people have been killed by other blacks in 2018 that all the KKK murders.

An entire race is performing self genocide right now and no one wants to talk about it because PC and hurt feelings, much less make a film about it.

The movie looks like it’s more about black power than anti KKK.
