Currently on season 4 of my rewatch. Each season is better than its predecessor.

Just finished the series last night. Probably in my top 5 all time shows. Just wow. I rarely rewatch a drama series, but this will be one that I come back to. Best show recommendation I've gotten from the M/TV board.

I also want to applaud Starz for wrapping things up in just 4 seasons. I think there are way too many shows that go on for 8 seasons when they should have lasted for 4 or 5.

Black sails was my quickest binge I've ever done. Loved every second, the arch for Silver was awesome, teach was awesome, Rackham was awesome, Eleanor was . Only character I wasn't a huge fan of was Max but ehh, that's just me nitpicking.

DAMN: I'm gonna have to sign up for that 7-day free Starz subscription with Prime just to binge this series.

Especially the very last scene. I dont think you could fade to the credits better than that show did. My wife never watched it but I kind of tell her whats going on while im watching good shows bc I know she'll never watch them. I had to show her that last scene on youtube though.

Rackham is my boy.

If you're going to start, i'd read up on some of the actual real life characters. Even if its just a quick wiki read. They do a pretty good job of depicting them.

I was gonna do that, but the full subscription was only $8 month to month or something. So that's probably the way to go (definitely better than buying each season separately).

One of my favorite scenes is when they rescue Flint and he says Fk Charleston

Starz has a 6mo for $20 deal going on right now. Think I'm going to do it just for the rewatch

* Looks like $4.99 for 3mo too

It was a quick binge for me also which made me miss things on my 1st watch. I was too busy paying attention to plots and characters while trying to predict what would happen next. On my rewatch I really noticed the incredible monologues scattered throughout the series, truly incredible writing and performances.

Sailing through a rewatch, my 3rd time through. Some of the best TV ever made. On my first watch, I didn’t realize it was a Treasure Island prequel. One classic I had never read.
