Yeah, I don't understand why the board has been railing against us when the studios and reviewers themselves are all talking about the social justice bullshite that's in movies.

We don't even have to "notice" it. The people producing it have told us in advance that it's in there.

This movie is an obvious response to the "muh black superheroes" outcry. Like the "muh homosexual super heroes" outcry, it has nothing to do with inclusion. It's just leftists trying to cram their bullshite into the most predictably lucrative movie genre today.

And make no mistake, their "inclusion" is intended to erode, not elevate.

The Black Panther reviews are all about how important this movie is for black people and social relevance issues. Big difference in how critics are viewing them.

Two things:

1) BP is inherently political, but classically has less to do with boring US Race Relations and more to do with global politics, isolationalism, etc.

2) This is going to be more relevant because at this point, this is a BP movie in the biggest franchise in the world over the last 5-8 years. It's high visibility just by nature of being an MCU film, much much much higher than Blade. It is "important" in that sense.

The project has been in production since the early 90s and in 2005 was announced as a future project in the planned Marvel Cinematic Universe.

You don't appear to be as perceptive as you think.

Close, Killmonger's Golden Jaguar habit.

Just like Get Out!!!

Isn't that weird?!?

I'm sure it will be great, but I'm not trusting the critics on this one.

I hate to be that guy, but yep. Get Out is a very good movie, like 8.5/10ish, but it is so fricking overhyped.

I'm really excited about this movie.

I think it will be great. The way I see it, every positive review will be seen negatively here as a "MUH BLACK SUPER HEROS" or "Keep Pushing the agenda" or "no one wants to come off as racist." All the negative reviews will be a "That's more like it" or "Finally a rational review." It's annoying how some are already writing this movie off because of those reviews (understandable with the SJW environment we are living in today), both positive and negative. frick what SJWS, liberals, conservatives, far right, far left, and so on say I will watch this movie and formulate my own opinion.

I fricking guarantee that this movie won't get as political (I'm talking race politics) as some are expecting here and this is coming from a conservative Latino dude. You'd think this was a movie about blacks overthrowing white people or a social justice revolt film based on some of the negativity being spewed here. I don't think it will be like that at all. I for one am happy that blacks and whites and others are looking forward to it. Black Panther is one of the coolest comic book superheroes and it's about time a movie be made about him and Wakanda. He's a fun superhero and it's cool to see a bit a mystery around him since not too many know much about his origin story and background. It's cool that the MCU has been setting this up for years.

To me it means a bunch of white guys made a shitty to mediocre comic book movie, and are now going to pat themselves on the back about how non-racist they are. All this while enjoying the bullshite reviews rolling in.

There's no reason to believe there will be a political message in Black Panther but maybe Marvel wants to get in on that now.

The story of Black Panther will have a certain amount of politics involved no matter what they do.

The main character is the king of a sovereign nation.

That being said, I would think the politics would be more in line with Winter Soldier or Captain America:Civil War than Selma.

You are triggered little one. You might want to see the film before you decide it's shitty to mediocre, but then again the reviews are more important to you than the film.

It was in development in the 90s, yes, and didn't get made in those days for two reasons:

1) The scripts were mediocre
2) The studio was afraid people would equate the film with the black supremacist political party of the same name

The film as we know it didn't get the green light until 2014-15 - right around the time the Oscars So White movement was getting revved up.

Lots of things are "in the works" but never get made. This one finally gets the final go in the last year or two. And surprise, it's all about social justice and "the struggle."

Maybe you're the one whose perception skills need work.

Nope. I'm just calling it like it is. It's strange to me how good this board is when it comes to movies until a comic book movie comes out. When a comic book movie comes out all of a sudden everyone loses all objectivity and becomes a 13 year old boy.
