Don't skip any of them. There are only like 15 total episodes. Even the less good ones are still entertaining.

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion. Me and my buddies who all watched it together thought that episode was the most pointless one. Just wasn't much going on.

After saying that, we also didn't like San Junipero. So who knows

My top 5 are

White Bear
White Christmas
Shut up and Dance
Playtest
Black Museum

This, 100%.

And I would honestly watch them in order. The best thing about BM is that it appeals to everybody differently. Just look at this thread...almost every episode has been named as "best." And just about as many have been said you should skip. One man's favorite is another man's worst, and vice versa.

Personally, The Entire History of You is my favorite by far. It is just excellent television IMO.

But honestly, just watch them all. Even the bad ones (and I think there are several that are just plain bad) have poignant lessons behind them. For example, the very first episode is one of the worst ones, and like someone said, most people are turned off by the series after that one. But there is still a great point/lesson in the first episode that rings true in today's times (and is continuing to trend that way for the future).

For my own opinion, I would tier them like this:

Top (very rewatchable):
The Entire History of You
White Christmas
Shut Up and Dance
San Junipero
Hated in the Nation
USS Callister
Black Museum

Middle (rewatchable to a degree):
Fifteen Million Merits
Whiter Bear
Playtest
Men Against Fire
Arkangel
Crocodile
Hang the DJ
Metalhead

Bottom (watch once and move on):
The National Anthem
Be Right Back
The Waldo Moment (the worst by far IMO)
Nosedive
Bandersnatch

The pig episode was really an odd choice to start off a series.

Most episodes are depressing. I had even more trouble with one of the later episodes but there are plenty of solid episodes even though they end on a depressing note.

I think we have seen evidence time and time again with new folks that this is an awful idea.

Anyways as to your tier list I can't really complain too much about it. I've only seen HITN once so can't remember too much about how much I liked it, the rest of your top tier are all solid. I didn't really care for arkangel much but I can see it in the "rewatchable" tier, although I'd put it towards the bottom. I disagree with metalhead, I thought it was trash. Maybe it's just me but IMO the writers in their planning meeting said "let's have one about a killer robot dog" and that's literally as far as they got.

NA and Waldo to me are clearly the worst though which I doubt many would disagree with. I would slide Nosedive up to the rewatchable category. I LOVED nosedive up until the very end, like the last 2-3 minutes. Won't give spoilers but it just felt kind of amateur. Definitely rewatchable though to me.

Whatever, that is worth it for the song alone. That song pops up in several other episodes.

The first 2 seasons were superior to the last 2 in my opinion.

Once it got popular it was Americanized and wasn't the same show.

But what I mean is to watch them all, in order...knowing that you are going to do so, and even knowing that the first episode is weak. That's how I did it, and it made me appreciate the other ones more because of it IMO. Plus, I got what they were going for in S1E1, and I thought the idea of it was great (that people were so "tuned in" that they didn't even realize the girl had been released). But the execution just wasn't very good.

Like someone said, it's the premise/idea behind this one that makes it good for me. People crucifying others on social media is a real thing, and a huge problem nowadays, and they found a way to show real consequences. I thought that was really cool.

I don't necessarily think the first episode is weak. But...it might turn some people off that the show starts out with some good old pig fricking.

Heck out of all of the episodes, this is the most realistic without futuristic gadgets. It's just harsh.

My favorite is The Entire History of You.

The one that doesn’t get talked about enough that truly disturbed me was Shut Up and Dance.

My 2 favorite ones are White Christmas and The Entire History of You, althought I love almost every episode, except for Waldo. That was boring.

I haven't yet seen season 4. Ive watched the show in order

Disturbed me to the point I haven't watched any episodes after it. Total mindfrick on that one. You really feel for the kid and are horrified for his predicament and things keep getting worse and worse. Only to have that final reveal. Yikes. That one really messed with the audience.
