Heart surgery is avoidable?

Lance Henriksen's character, Bishop, wasn't killed in Aliens. He managed to hold onto Newt when the airlock was opened.. Then he was placed in hypersleep and was reactivated briefly in Alien 3.

This is like arguing that if someone attacked by Micheal Myers survived the attack but was placed in a coma from which they later pulled life support from, wasn't really killed by Myers.

Maybe.

But you can play the what if games to prevent the fatal stroke given that he was in medical care the entire time.

Seems like he could have lived but choose to be "killed" by Ripley. Just saying.

Sad. Really hated to hear this. Seemed like a nice guy and enjoyed his work.

Frailty and A Simple Plan are probably his two most underrated movies.

He was good in the HBO series "Big Love" as well.

Sucks to lose Chet.

Paxton will always be one of the great comedic reliefs in cinema and especially in great thrillers...

Aliens

And he pulled it off for generations and in cinema lore.

"They cut the power?"

"What do you mean they cut the power?"

"They're freaking animals!"

"How could they cut the power?"

Paxton has been qouted for years....He's in our lexicon.

Storm chasers paid tribute today in a homage to someone who probably paid a role influencing the current generation:

Just found this anecdote:
Link
quote:

“Jimmy Buffett – Bill Paxton and I just got back from West Palm Beach, where we went to kiss the ring of the the man himself, Jimmy Buffett. We rented a theater in West Palm and Jimmy showed up with about 15-20 people who work for him. Bill sat next to him and hit him in the ribs every time something funny happened. When we left, Jimmy was singing one of the Coconut Pete songs. He loved it. Here’s a picture.”
