Closest I have ever been to someone like that was an old female roommate's boyfriend's brother. The boyfriend was a roofer in DFW. His brother was a crackhead who stole and sold his brother's vehicles and tools more than once. I moved out before that stuff happened.

Over the course of three days Vincent Vega
* Fails to properly sweep the apartment which exposed him and Jules to an unknown gunman. Only through divine intervention did they survive.
* Shot Marvin in the face (fun fact: if you go back and watch the scene where he and Jules take the guns out of the trunk you hear Jules click the safety after racking his gun. There's no click when Vincent racks his gun leading us to believe his lack of gun safety protocol and trigger discipline is habitual and not a one off incident).
* Doesn't wash his hands properly and gets blood all over Jimmy's towels. Apart from being an extremely dick move this would have left DNA evidence all over the place.
* Quibbles with the Wolf over petty bullshite when the Wolf was only there to get them out of the jam that Vincent created.
* Nearly escalates the standoff with Ringo and Honeybunny into deadly gunfire when Jules had it under control and was de-escalating it.
* Needlessly insults Butch which lead Butch to double cross Marcellus Wallace and sets all the events of the back half of the film into motion.
* Inadvertently insults his dealer's wife, referring to her as "the one with all the shite in her head".
* Allows his mob boss's wife (who he was assigned to take care of) to OD on his stash.
* Talks about drug shite on a cell phone (big no-no in the 90s).
* Wrecks his Malibu into Lance's house.
* Decides to take a dump in Butch's apartment without securing his gun which leads to his death (it's possible it was Marcellus' gun, but either way Vincent was an idiot for letting it just be left on a kitchen counter while he's shitting up the bathroom).
I loved the character, but he was a massive frickup.

Crazy Stupid Love is a much better movie than it has any business being.

No wonder the part went to Travolta, who had fricked up his own career to the point it was on life support when he landed that role.

Roy Munson
