Is it just me or was that HOH basically gifted to Paul. No one observes tatoos like a person with a ton of tatoos so in essence guys like Paul who had previously played the game would be very observant of other people's tats considering his own interest in them.
That was the first intelligent decision Jess has made. She ruined her HOH by being a giant pussy and allowed Cody to talk her out of making an intelligent game move. Throwing out the hex cast light on others and made Paul question his obvious decision to put up Jess and Cody, if it buys her another week without using the hex it gives them another shot at winning power.

I don't blame Jess for spilling the beans. She or Cody was going to go up no matter what--might as well make Paul reconsider, and doing it in front of Julie was epic IMO. Sure she should have not listened to Cody and followed her gut, but this might have been the best thing to salvage this frick-up at this point.

It also may have freaked Paul out trying to figure out who leaked the plan. Could have gotten them turning on each other.
I don't understand why Jess didn't use this more to her advantage. Just tell them she's caught wind that they're flipping and voting out Ramses. Guess she didn't want to betray Kevin.

Not much discussion here about the temptation curse. This curse should change the game and prevent Paul from completely running the house.
If you know your going on the block, (Cody, Jess, Mark, Elana) why would you not play in this comp?
You win and you're safe. You lose and you have to put yourself as a 3rd nominee. I'd rather be 1 of 3 nominated then 1 of 2 nominated
Also, I'm curious how they determine who "gets the opportunity to play" in this comp. Like wtf would someone like Maven or Kevin play

It blows my mind how sheeplike all these mother frickers are.
I get some of them, like Matt and Raven. They were floaters from the start and don't really have the skill set to form and run an alliance. But people like Kevin, Alex, and Jason, I don't get it. They have a little game in them and are smart people, but are content with just doing whatever the house wants. And they're going to do it, until Paul gets to them on his list of people to pick off.
Kevin, Alex, Ramses, and Jason should have had a very quiet final four deal and after noms, they should have approached Jess and Cody with a final 6 alliance and after that, good luck. It would have come to a head this week, but who cares, they would have to win the hoh after the hex, and then they'd have the numbers. But no, every one of these motherfrickers think that hitching their wagon to Paul is the right move. I guess it is, if you want to finish second or just go to jury.
It sucks when you have this big of an alliance, if you even can call it that, just hanging out with two people as the target. Everybody is so wrapped up in getting to Jury or they think they're Paul's final two player that they're not looking any further than that.
And for the record, Paul would be a fool not to take Josh to final two. Nobody likes that dumb arse. It would be a landslide.

The sad thing is that if Jess was playing sans Cody (or whatever showmance she ultimately would have gotten into), she actually would be a darkhorse candidate for one of the all-time greats.
She's very perceptive, reads people very well (until Cody talks her out of it), can keep her mouth shut, knows how to score quick hit points, and is actually good at comps.
But, the dick is her downfall.

Doesn't Christmas still have a temptation she can use? I forgot exactly what hers was again. Ring of replacement, what did it do exactly?
She can replace any chosen veto player (not HOH or nominees) in a veto comp. It's a pretty crappy one (unless she was being backdoored or something), especially compared to the other two temptations.
Posted on 7/28/17 at 9:38 am to lsunurse
she can pull off some one competing in the Veto and place herself there to play (i think it is one of the pick HG, not the HOH or two nominees)

I agree about Jess. She would have been much better off if Cody would have stayed out of the house.

they get to decide if they want to compete or not. winner is safe for the week, last place in the competition gets put as a third nominee.

Anyone think americas vote for temptation is bull shite?
They seem all too convenient...especially jess. No way America voted for her with how mean she and Cory were but big brother wants them to stay in the game as long as possible.
I can see America voting for Paul because he's loved by most, people felt sorry for Christmas so they voted for her but you just can't convince me that America votes for jess. Not enough dudes watch the show to get the sexy vote.

There was actually a huge push on Reddit and Jokers for Jess just because of them being sick of the Paul worship in the house.

Yeah that would be another angle I would take in Jody's position.
I would constantly be talking about how America is obviously on our side and they are not coming off how they think they are.
These people are all convinced they are going to come out as beloved celebrities, and knowing that they may not be liked outside the house would frick with their heads big time.
Just another way to use it to their advantage by trying to cast doubt and put some fractures in the group.

Wouldn't have worked. Jess hates Alex and Alex knows that. Jess is way too self involved to get past that.
Unfortunately that self involvement obsession is a fatal flaw for both of them. You saw what they did the moment they got back in power. They tried to go back to the week 1 alliance they had with the cool kids and holed up in the HOH room for 10 hours a day. They would never lower themselves to putting serious work in with those 4 people to gain their trust.
Just look at the way that Cody talked to Alex and Jason after Kevin tipped them off. He was very self oriented in his reasoning for why they should vote his way. He didn't give either one of them a reason for why working with them would be good for their games.
That arrogance is why they are in the position they are in and why Paul is running the house. Paul is arrogant as hell, but at least he has the fundamental understanding that people cast a vote a certain way because they believe it benefits them

I don't see how Cody is a salesman in real life. that is my profession and I just don't see it with him

I think it's a safe bet that he acts differently in real life than he does on a show, where he's housebound with a large group of people he can't stand that he's directly competing against.

Nah. That type of personality doesn't just click. I imagine he's a huge alpha tool in real life too.
