Despite CGI, whatever today, it's never been topped for action and drama and tension. The film crew put in the work back when movies were hard to make unlike today. They weren't sitting behind a computer, they were on the Streets of San Francisco.

The real thing is always better than CGI as it's the little details that make the scene. And CGI never gets things exactly right. Like sidewall flex, old cars going positive camber, the axle tramp, etc using Bullitt as an example.

There are things missing that you may not be able to name, but your brain notices and that is why it doesn't feel real.

Not the “best” scene in movie history but there are few scenes I love more than entering Juarez in Sicario. Starting with the helicopters and the music. So perfectly shot

The music in that movie sets the tone perfectly.

The accompanying score absolutely made that scene.
