Many shows I love today took me a couple tries, like mad men, peaky blinders, etc.
Which pilot episodes are your all time favorite? Mine has to be freaks and geeks. From start to finish, it’s pretty damn near perfection.

Not the best, but The Shield was definitely memorable. Set the tone and story for an entire series

I was never a fan of Lost, but the above poster is probably right.
Breaking Bad is near the top it's such a shot in the nuts.
Since Breaking Bad delivered more than Lost, BB would get the nod as best pilot ever.

All in the Family had 3 pilots based on the same script with different actors/actresses before becoming a series.
These were the first 2 unaired pilots:

The Americans pilot was pretty good, it got me hooked right away. Didn't waste any time with suspense.

The Walking Dead and LOST. Not sure which I liked the best. TWD was like a movie, brought me in and millions others.
