What movie/tv villains did you find very believable to the point that you can't disassociate the actor if you seem them in a new role?

Jame Gumb - Silence of the Lambs
*He and Lector are all time greats, but I can associate Hopkins with other roles, not just Lector.

Agreed on Jack Gleeson/Joffrey on GoT. Even his mom too. It doesnt help with him that I have no other roles to tag him to. Other than the innocent kid from Batman, but even now I will view the Batman kid as evil and probably the one who hired The Scarecrow.

Ted Levine - a really fine actor - I did like him in "From the Earth to the Moon" in the role of Alan Shepard.

For sure. But he is just one of the few guys i have pegged to one role. I never watched Monk. But i was like hey Jame Gumb is the captain.

He was great in alot of roles, but I always associate Joe Pesci with the burglar from Home Alone.

at Wayne Arnold

my answer is Abu Fayed on Season 6 of 24 though. Some obscure actor, but for all intents and purposes he might as well have been a card carrying member of al-Qaeda.

Gus Fring is another good one.

David Warner:

Actually, two of my favorite villain performances were by Gene Hackman. He was so well known by then and he is a good enough actor that those roles don't carry over into other performances.

Recently I thought Michael Shannon was very good as General Zod. He was outstanding in the mediocre Take Shelter and is probably a good enough actor that he'll be able to do other serious roles without too much trouble.
