Really? I think it is the single most terrifying scene I've ever seen. Creepy as all hell, and moments after the most harrowing line of the film, "Why would you do that? She never sleeps."

Perhaps the single best twist in a horror movie. It felt earned, and not a gimmick. It was a legitimate, organic twist which changed my perspective of the whole film

I couldn't disagree more. Seeing the bitch in the beginning all jacked up from watching the tape was great. Knowing that the tape somehow got her was good, until we found out how it all goes down. The girl crawls out of the TV to get you. I literally LOLed in the theater. It would have been a much better film had they left the mystery of how the girl gets you a well..... mystery.

How does she do it? Well, she crawls out of the TV. How much thought did that really take? The only surprise I got out of it was the complete lack of creativity. The writer(s) literally must have just said "frick it, I got nothing, but it's good up to this point. We'll just have her crawl out of the TV."

Are horror movies supposed to put you to sleep in the theater?

That's really all this pile of shite was good for.

Anybody know if The Strangers is on Netflix?

I wanna see it, but it doesn't have very positive reviews from critics.

Wasnt that movie only an hour and a half?

The Mothman Prophecies was pretty freaky.
28 Days Later was too.

Coming from the person who thinks that the best horror flick in the last 13 years was filmed on a webcam.

And I'm not talking about a fat chick getting nekkid.

yeah, Funny Games is good. That crazy heavy metal music they play during the beginning credits really sets the tone. Creepy.

Wait, someone suggested Drag Me To Hell in this thread?

How far have our expectations gone for horror movies people?

Check out Jesus Camp when y'all get a chance. Its a documentary on extreme Pentecostals. One of the creepiest movies I have ever seen.

I watched the ending of Drag Me to Hell, and it seemed kinda corny to me

Then again, maybe I just suck... there are quite a few films mentioned in this thread that I didn't particularly care for.

...but I'm still standing by my belief that Paranormal Activity is one of the most overrated, overhyped films of the 2000s...

This. I thought this was the most suspense filled movies released in the past few years. I wish my enjoyment wasn't ruined by the implausibility toward the end of the film.
