Over Jerry Lewis or Peter Sellers?

I listed Peter Sellers.

IMHO, Jerry Lewis was a clown. Not a comedic actor.

Grant was a comedic actor.

The Philadelphia Story
Arsenic and Old Lace
Bringing Up Baby
Charade
Father Goose

Tons of great ones mentioned.

He is not there yet, but Jason Sudekis is quickly moving up my list. I find him funny in everything he does.

As a comedian, he was great. As a comedic actor, there’s just not enough work to include him on this list of all-timers imo. Then again, that’s your list, not mine.

Yes. Cary Grant might be the GOAT.

Murray has performed well in dramatic roles that are very different from his comedic roles…

Jerry Lewis turned into a bitter pompous a-hole, but this (and things like it) will never get old. Influenced generations.

I've noticed that there is no mention of Michael Keaton. He's had some pretty great comedic roles.

I agree. And his movies were certainly better overall and a huge body of work. They don’t make movies like they used to and it is a shame.

Three pages and not one mention of Art Carney.

I would list Buster Keaton, Lou Costello, The Marx Brothers, and Tim Conway. Consideration for Eddie Murphy and John Belushi but more for SNL than anything else. Leslie Neilson was terrific in comedic films after working as a serious actor.

Ben Stiller, Chevy Chase, Ackroyd, and Adam Sandler couldn't carry their luggage and are listed only due to recency bias.

Buster Keaton wrote, directed and produced all his films and did all his own stunts.

Not even the best of the SNL cast.

I don’t know if they will get as much run in this thread due to it being a sketch show but the whole cast of the Carol Burnett show was HILARIOUS

Adam Sandler has had some really funny movies. He is not at the top but is still good in my book.
