Apples and Oranges.

Two different universes, two different styles of Joker.

Like I said before the OT thread got whacked, it's apples and oranges.

They were essentially playing two separate characters. Nicholson's Batman was probably more demented, but Ledger's was darker.

1) Mark Hamill

2) Scruffy, I have that print hanging in my living room. It's titled "Crimefighters" and it's by an amazing artist named Brandon Bird. I really recommend googling him.

Yeah, Nicholson's was more unhinged.

Ledger was definitely great, but the lack of a true origin and Batman being "responsible" for his condition took something away from the character.

Got to go with Jack because Bob Kane insisted he was the only one who could play in the role in the '89 version.

I must have missed the scene when batman and the joker were camping up in the mountains.

Although the joker did say some things to batman that seemed vaguely similar to "why can't I quit you?"

I liked this about him. His backstory was a mystery. It made him all the more dangerous.

Batman wasn't responsible for his condition. He was responsible for him being in Gotham. The appearance of Batman caught his attention.

I second this.

First found out about the guy when he made the Nic Cage Action Playset.

I agree. His Joker role and TDK for that matter are about 50% more hyped than they should be because of his death. It's called the Kurt Cobain effect.
