Loophole ? It’s not skirting the law to lean left.

I saw Park Chan Wook and Robert Downey Jr at work today …. And guess what? Neither was pushing a “commie”
Agenda. As a matter of fact, I’ve never heard politics of any sort really discussed on a set. Mostly professionals doing their jobs and creating content for the masses. And ideally artful fare.

Take the nonsense to the poli board ….

Did I see/hear right that Jordan isn't in the movie, or there isn't an actor portraying Jordan in the movie?

Yeah I think there is an actor playing him, but he's barely in it (basically not at all). I think the movie more focuses on Nike and his parents.

Jordan isn’t in the commercials. His ego is probably too big to have somebody play him.

Actually, it was Ben Affleck that didn't want to include Jordan

i'm not going to see a movie if there's somebody I REALLY don't like in it, but that list is pretty short.

i realize that most of hollywood has to walk a line and they're highly uneducated people that live in a bubble surrounded by sycophants. plenty have dumb takes without being insulting to their audience. i tend to avoid those that can't avoid insulting their audience.

pretty much my take on it as well.

that said, to make it thread relevant, i actually have always kind of liked Ben Affleck and have never noticed him being overtly political. plus he was in Armageddon, then greatest movie of the 20th century.

he had his stupid Bill Maher incident, but has been pretty quiet politically since then. when he found out he owned slaves, that was pretty funny as well.

if anything, i empathized with his face during the Sam Smith grammy's performance.

there's a fairly well connected hollywood guy on Texags entertainment board and he's firmly convinced that hollywood is really center right, and the rest of the world are just extremists.

he also thinks Gavin Newsom is a centrist, so...

i'm not knocking Newsom, you are what you are, but he's not a centrist.

Interested to see how Sonny Vaccaro is portrayed. It's funny knowing he started the ABCD camp which basically was the grandfather to AAU basketball partnered with shoe companies and drove a lot of backdoor deals in college basketball.

Didn’t they go after Magic first? I thought I saw in Winning Time that they wanted Magic before MJ.

oh yes, i'm familiar with TCTTS. i used to be a very regular texags poster. TCTTS is easily one of the most obnoxious posters on that site, and certainly THE most obnoxious on the entertainment board. his outright refusal of the very existence of a left wing bias in hollywood is funny enough, but his assertion that there is actually a slight RIGHT wing bias is comedy gold.
