Could be the EEAAO of this year

Ben Affleck’s ‘Air’ Rocks SXSW, Receives Long Standing Ovation

Affleck’s film about the creation of the Air Jordan sneaker went down like gangbusters at its premiere in Austin, Texas.

@MovieMantz

SXSW 2023 went out on the highest note with “AIR” — EXCELLENT MOVIE! A rousing, feel-good crowd-pleaser about risk, trust, confidence & family! AMAZING CAST & BEN AFFLECK directed the hell out of it! It’s a SLAM DUNK & the BEST MOVIE of the year so far, by far!

quote:

@Klee_FilmReview

Funny, energetic, and beautifully written, AIR is an absolute winner. The large ensemble cast delivers powerful performances, but it’s Ben Affleck’s unbeatable optimism as a storyteller that shines. He champions not just Michael Jordan but all the people who believe in him #SXSW

#AIR is a lot more than I thought it would be. Endearingly funny and with a fantastic cast it's probably my favorite film from Ben Affleck. With A LOT of biopics playing at the fest, this one stands out.

Ben Affleck’s ‘AIR’ is one of the best experiences I've had in a movie theater.

Entertaining, Hilarious, Hopeful, and the best movie of the year so far. Ben Affleck is amazing and extraordinary as a Director.

quote:

@ShadanLarki

AIR is lifted by an incredible cast! Damon, Davis, and Affleck are particularly fantastic! Lots of cheer-worthy sequences, the ending is VERY strong. Affleck put a lot of heart into this. #SXSW2023 #Air

quote:

@ElSergioMunoz

Wow! #AIR is an impeccable biopic! Ben Affleck transforms a story that we already know into something not only engaging but also exciting. The film talks about not only this legendary deal but also the problem of exploitation of the image and likeness of young athletes...

quote:

@ryanmcquade77

#AIR is a absolute winner! A movie about the belief people can have in one another when you push boundaries and have faith that gambles can pay off. Affleck’s steady direction shines along an all star cast, with Matt Damon and Viola Davis standing out. Go see this movie!!

@DiscussingFilm

'AIR' tells the story of Michael Jordan's Nike deal with great care and energy, and reminds us how strong of a director Ben Affleck really is.

You must be one of those separate the art from the artist pricks that lap shite like this up, when you're not watching Polanski or Woody Allen films.

you sound like my dad. He's turned into a guy that just sits at home with Fox News on 24/7, and his boycott list of celebrities/companies are a mile long.

Just live your life and go in with an open mind. If you base those decisions on who votes for who, that will drive you nuts.

Imagine not being able to separate art and politics.

Update …. 90% of filmmakers, screenwriters and actors are likely leaning a bit left to moderate. If you don’t like it , then only watch projects produced, directed, written by and starring Tim Allen or James Woods

You know filmmakers also include teamsters and carpenters …. So likely is appropriate but not assured

congratulations on the loophole I guess? i dont think too many carpeneters are influencing the narrative and messaging of movies with their moderate political voice, but maybe so.

look, i watch movies and i mostly separate my politics from my entertainment, but to say hollywood leans slightly left to moderate is ridiculous. the VAST majority of directors, producers, and actors are about one shade of red lighter than full blown commies. i mean this isnt even debatable.
