Just finished rosemarys baby which was fantastic. It holds up really well. This past week I watched suspiria 1977 and the remake which I actually thought was better than the original. Also watched deep red which was pretty good. What should I go after next? Was thinking the tenant or the omen. I also have possession ordered on dvd so I will be watching that soon

I watched the original Wicker Man last week. It's worth a watch. Carrie is great if you haven't seen that. The Omen is decent as well. If you want more horror check out Lucio Fulci's Zombie movies.

Phantasm 2 was the only movie to scare the crap out of me besides the exorcist. Original Fright night was pretty good too

Deep Red was on my Amazon Prime “movies we think you’ll like” list and I was intrigued but skipped over it. I’m gonna give it a go now because of your recommendation.

The Visitor (1979)

Randomly found this recently and it's a good creepy movie.

Anything with Britt Ekland is worth watching no matter what else is going on in it.

this one for sure.

The omen is a good choice

for some lesser known movies

Race with the Devil
Food of the Gods
The town that dreaded sundown

ETA: Children shouldn't play with dead things

The Evil Dead

The original from 1981, of course. Scary and graphic, but with Bruce Campbell there's just enough smarmy humor to make it unique. This was early Sam Raimi, and you can see the same style and effects, the suddenness of actions and the actor responses, as you see 20 years later in Spiderman.

The Fury - 1978

Rosemary's Baby and the Wicker Man are probably my two favorite from that era though

I can't recommend The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) strongly enough. You must make this the next film you watch as part of this pursuit. I suggest watching it alone, late at night, in complete darkness. It's gonna stay with you for a while.

Shining is probably my favorite horror movie of all time. Kubrick is just amazing.

1. Black Sabbath

2. The Pit and the Pendulum

3. The Haunted Palace

4. Dracula (Frank Langella)

5. Every Hammer Horror movie ever

5a. Fearless Vampire Killers (yeah, I know Polanski is
a piece of crap and it's as much a comedy as it
is a horror)
