Anyone else have fond, fond memories of this show from the 90’s? Just saw on Twitter where they digitally remastered the entire series and are re releasing them all in one boxed blue ray set, including Mask of the Phantasm and Sub Zero. It’s on Amazon right now. 85 episodes with 12 audio commentaries and two movies. Steep price at $112 though.

Any episodes that stood out to you? Takeaways from the show?

Also Mark Hamill is the GOAT Joker.

It was awesome. I never really paid attention to the credits so when someone told me Hamill was the voice of The Joker I didn't believe him.

Does the remaster set keep the original intro credits over the shitty arse The New Batman/Superman Adventures intro credits that got slapped on there when it went into syndication and on Amazon?

I don't have the slightest clue if it was any good as I haven't seen an episode since I was a kid, but I freaking loved it then.

He may have felt more like the comic book character, but Ledger is the GOAT on-screen villain.

Great series. Very dark at times for a children’s show. No way something like that gets made for casual cable viewing for kids

One of my favorite shows after school as a kid. It was dark and gritty with some humor. Great cast of villains too. That honest trailer nailed it.

i never read the comics, so this show introduced me to all of the 2nd-tier villains (man bat, killer croc, and the GOAT...Clock King lol). Not to mention that they basically created Harley Quinn and we see what she has become in terms of iconic characters.

They must have did that after awhile on Amazon. the first two season had the original credits and the last got the world's finest.

Heart of Ice: Victor Fries was the show at its best.

Joker's Favor: Intro of Harley, but that's not what makes it a great episode.

Growing Pains: The closest that the series came to being an episode of The Twilight Zone. Bizarre and heartbreaking.

The Demon's Quest: Just for attempting to adapt one of the greatest Batman stories of all time, this episode is on my list. Ra's Al Ghul entered the Batman Universe like no other villain. Immediately he was on the same level as The Joker. The animated series didn't do it justice, but it came damn close.

And on the Superman Animated Series...
Knight Time: Batman is missing and Superman finds Tim "Robin" Drake taking on the villains of Gotham on his own. Their team-up was a classic World's Finest comic come to life.

The Mr. Freeze origin episode was probably my favorite.

All I remember about this show is that Freakazoid was a better hero and show in every way.

An Oral History by Vulture from a couple years ago is definitely worth the read.

What was the episode where the Chick DA had to defend Batman?

Always enjoyed that.

The Underdwellers gets hated on by fans but it's my favorite of the "kid" episodes.

Clayface episodes were legit all the way to the Tim Drake as Jason Todd era.

Also since HT brought it up.

Bruce Timm's need to have Bruce and Babs bone down vs his fart fetish when WB looks the other way. Which is worse?

As bad as the fart jokes were, having Bruce do Barbara on that rooftop is pretty unforgivable.

It used to come on right as I got home from school. It was a good alternative to TMNT at the time. I liked that it wasn't all cartoony and felt like a serious effort to tell some good batman stories.
