Who else watches this? I binged five episodes last night and damn some of those episodes almost had fist fights between John and the owner or some employee of the bar. It’s a pretty cool show. I see that this Sunday there will be episode about a bar in Louisiana that got messed up by the 2016 flooding.

Big Mike's in Denham. I've already seen that one.

It’s really entertaining but very staged from what I’ve been told. My brother knew some people who worked at TJ Quills when they fixed it up, said they had some staging.

All reality shows are staged. Not really breaking ground there

I've considered making this thread several times

I've got Bar Rescue pegged as hands-down the best guilty pleasure watch on tv right now.

"Shut it down!"

"You're gonna kill somebody!"

Jon Taffer had a pretty good AMA on reddit a while back. He will claim to his death that nothing is staged or exaggerated for the show but I think it speaks for itself.

Just one of those shows you put on and before you know it you've watched 7 episodes in an afternoon.

Bar Rescue and The Profit are my top two shows on TV. Jon Taffer is a boss.

An episode I watched last night had him go to some bar in LA with an owner who was a former MLB player I believe. I think his name was Pauly. Holy shite, both him and John are big guys and i legit thought they were going to fight 3 different times lol.

I heard that. I also heard they also put one of the managers girlfriends in the episode and told her to tell the camera the service was bad.

If he really wanted to show how good he is as a consultant, they’d show him going to bars that are already doing well and make them even better. I think anyone can come in and pour 50-100k into a crappy bar and say you “rescued” it, at least for about a week before they let it go to shite again.

It's staged but it's usually a pretty entertaining watch

The opening scene where we see the bar at it's worst and John's initial confrontation with the owner and the reveal scene of the new bar are the two scenes that make the show for me.

Everything in between is kind of boring and repetitive.

Apparently he takes a bunch of consulting appointments for other bars when he comes to town to film. He make a bunch of money consulting with places that aren’t dumpster fires.

I swore up and down that I hated reality tv shows but I love Bar Rescue. My favorite was the Headhunters/Metal & Lace episode in Austin

I know the people who were on this episode, All Twerk and No Pay, of Bar Rescue. The episode turned out exactly how I though it would; a mess.
