8.3 Monday seems kind of low domestically. Does it seem to be losing steam in the US?

It was the same drop that Black Panther took in its second Monday. Coupled with many schools, both high school and college, starting finals, weekdays will be slower than mid-summer.

Even if China grosses fade fast, #InfinityWar now looks right on track to smash $2B mark worldwide. Would be only the 4th film in global #boxoffice history to do that. Oh, and the next #Avengers movie might just do this all over again less than a year from now.

Purely anecdotal, but my wife wanted to go for a re-watch for mother's day. My local theater has reserve seating. When buying tickets Thursday night for Sunday, I had to dig a bit to find 4 decent seats together.

When we went yesterday, every showing was sold-out/completely full.

About a third of the viewers seemed like first time viewers based on their audible reactions to certain events.

This next weekend is when things will start to get interesting. DP2 and Solo back to back to weeks.

Tonight, #Avengers #InfinityWar will smash the $600M domestic #boxoffice mark in only its 26th day of release. 2nd fastest film of all-time to do it after #StarWars The Force Awakens which needed only 12 days during the Christmas 2015 holidays.

About 2.8 yesterday. It is losing it's daily lead of Black Panther though.

OS should be at 1.9 billion by this weekend.

BP is about to cross 700 million. Just an incredible box office run.

First viewing I thought it was above average for the MCU. Second viewing it's middle of the road. Solid flick but definitely has issues IMO. Definitely didn't deserve the supreme praise it received.

In comparison to the other MCU movies, BP bored me. I watched it at home and found myself playing on my phone after about 30 minutes. BP doesn’t have his powers during much of the movie, including the fight scenes, and then fights an mirror image of himself just like we’ve seen a bunch of other times. Yawn.

I wouldn't put it in the top 10 of Marvel movies. It's a decent film, but it's not nearly good enough for the accolades and box office it's achieved. I wish I had waited and just rented it after seeing Infinity War.

Same here, I thought it was pretty mediocre.

That's how I felt during my second viewing. Pretty boring the second time around. Some of the CGI was pretty cringe worthy also.

I think the action was underwhelming and there was a lack of humor. BP himself has little personality.

I think they handicapped him too much worrying about his gravitas. It can be the same problem that Superman and Captain America run into when the writing doesn't work around their characters central premise - the characters end up detached and dehumanized in that situation.

Exactly right. But if the god of thunder can have a sense of humor, they can give BP some personality too. Or at least some entertaining friends. The most endearing character was the chief who fought BP the first time, when BP initially won the throne. He stole the show.

Michael B Jordan’s character was intensely unlikable and didn’t move me emotionally whatsoever. They kinda tried to humanize him at first but then he was revealed to be a psychopath with no good qualities.
