While I don't think she is a great fighter, Laurel is a tougher girl than you guys seem to think. She beat up a few guys in the 1st season and wasn't afraid to mix it up (LINK She has been training with the other guy for months, maybe a year by now. She is usually taking the bad guys by surprise and hitting them with a club. I'd be more skeptical if the guys were professionals, but so far they are just street thugs..
The rumble was a bit silly, especially when you mix guns in. They should either have a shoot out or no guns. I mean if Dig levels off his rifle and just lets it rip, he shoots 10-20 guys. Same with Brick's crew. Doesn't make sense, nobody charges into that..
I'm glad Oliver is back though. Hopefully this is the end of him and Felicity. If he's smart, he goes after Nyssa and tries to use her against Ras. She is super hot and is the kind of woman he should be with. Shouldn't be too hard to flip her..

According to an interview Amell did during the winter break they have. The water we saw Ra's in during his first scene on the show was the pit.

Oliver and Laurel had way more going on in season 1. Don't get me wrong. I would be fine with Oliver doing the James Bond thing until the final season and then sticking with Laurel but Felicity needs to just stick to goofy sidekick.

I meant that they have been mentioned or brought up yet on the show itself. The only hint of them that has been said during the show was Ra's' comment about not being challenged is 60 some odd years. While Amell may have said it, the pits haven't been revealed to the viewers or Team Arrow (unless Oliver finds out in a flashback) yet in context with the show.

Different strokes for different folks I guess. Season 1 spent the entire time telling us that Oliver and Laurel should be together but neither showed us why or explained why outside of "this is the future black canary and they bang in the comics".

Being his best friend is just one great part of the tragedy that would be Tommy coming back and somehow becoming the Dark Archer. They would be an inverse of each other with Oliver going from killer to hero and Tommy hero to killer.

It just reminds me of season 1s first half. I don't think so but it probably wouldn't be the worse thing.

Brick was such a bad villain. At some point are they going to address who the would ever want to live in Starling City? It makes Gotham look nice.

I am liking the direction the show is going. This weeks episode had a much darker tone to it. IMO. i do think the writers took Brick away too easily. Also this was the first episode I didn't want to punch Laurel in the face.

Things are starting to ramp up after next week
3x14- Slade returns, annual flashback heavy episode of the season
3x15- Malcolm captured by LoA, ATOM makes his first apperance
3x16- called "The Offer" so probably a continuation of LoA
3x17- Suicide Squad episode
As much as I love the Suicide Squad episodes I really wish they would do like an off season mini series for them instead of during a regular season episode.

I didn't read the comics but have a question about Wildcat. Was he in the comics or was that just made up by the writers?

I don't think so. I think he just got his arse beat.
Which I was kind of disappointed with. Wildcat shouldn't be getting his but kicked in a street fight like that.
