Anyone watch Naked & Afraid?

I love survival shows and watch most of them, including Naked & Afraid. However, I find Dual Survival and Survivorman way more interesting. For some reason in Naked & Afraid they build a halfass shelter on Day 1, and literally do not do anything else for the next 20 days except complain. I always end up fast forwarding through most parts.

Because a woman tries to catch a fish with her vagina in a mudhole.

Dual survivor is awesome

I watch every episode. But I'm really starting to hate the lack of ability from the current season's contestants.

I mean, they build shite shelters. They can't trap, hunt, or even gather food for shite.

Alone is the far better show/series. I am hoping they start making more seasons in alternate locations so we don't have to wait so long between seasons.

The guy on Sunday was a prime example of this. He lost the eel in his trap and knocked the frog into the water. That is more food than most get in the whole 21 days.

I've watched a little.One 1st episode the girl was talking about how she had been doing things like this her whole life and it would be no problem.

Was dehydrated and throwing up inside of 4 hours.

I agree as it is just them alone with camera equipment and an oh shite button if they get into real trouble. No set time for them to just wait it out. They have to really survive. As far as the others i enjoy dual survival and survivorman as they set up real life scenarios that are interesting. I also find that the people they pick for naked and afraid aren't really the best survival "experts" and seemed to be picked more for their drama value than skills.

They do seem to manufacture drama a bit too much. They also edit the hell out of the show to provide the narrative they want to promote. Nothing wrong with that but I think that's why it feels somewhat staged. It's also known that the producers will ask them to reword some of their comments for better filming.

I keep waiting for the guy to pull out some condoms at the beginning of the show when they are asked what they brought as a survival tool

I did think that the chick bringing the tarp was a pretty good idea, especially if you are in a rainy area


That really cut down on their shelter needs, but they could have cut some and made some shoes and gotten more use out of it
