We just binged this week. 10 thirty minute episodes

I really liked it. About a washed up Vegas comedian and a millennial writer that’s hired to help her career.

Has the grandma from Mare of Easttown as the main character

We're about halfway through it. It's pretty great. Jean Smart is amazing in it.

I keep going back and forth on if I’d sleep with her or not. I think I would

The younger girl has a great body

Yeah I thought it was real good. Glad it got a second season pickup. Jean Smart has been on a roll lately.

I thought it was well written. I got a little nervous because they were a couple instances where I thought they were gonna go complete woke.

Spoiler

After her dream I said if they have them becoming a thing I’m done

Jean Smart was awesome in it. That millenial brat was unwatchable. I almost quit watching it several times b/c she was such an insufferable count!!!

My wife watched it, I caught about 1/2 the episodes, it was funny.

Both the main characters are very unlikeable at times so I wonder if it’s one of those shows you get tired of after awhile because there is nobody to root for.

I definitely would. My mom was obsessed with Designing Women back in the day, and I had a bit of a crush on her back then.

She’s the worst part. Her rant about the “me too” comic from the 70s was ridiculous

She has a nice rack

finished it this weekend. I enjoyed it. Jean Smart was really good. Shooter McGavin was good also. It would travel in and out of wokeness a good bit. I like how Jean's character would call out the millennial on stuff about how hard her life is.

It definitely toes the line of the level of wokeness I can tolerate but I liked it quite a bit. Jean Smart crushes it.

Anyone over the age of 40 would have referred to her as "Charlene from Designing Women".

I thought Hacks was excellent (as was Mare of Easttown). Jean Smart did an awesome job in both.

Jean Smart isn't just having a career renaissance, she's having a full on great career. In the past few years, she's done Hacks, Mare of Easttown, Watchmen, Big Mouth, Fargo, and Legion. And arguably been the best thing in all of them (OK, not Big Mouth, where the hormone monsters clearly steal the show)

But I know I'm an old because I completely identified with Jean Smart and completely sided with her in every argument she had with Ava. Which was best summed up when she said that she built a damn marble staircase for those who came after her, does she have to carry you up, as well? I mean, Ava has a career only because of the hard work people like Jean Smart (a clear Joan Rivers analog) put in against sexism and barriers she can only imagine.

She's right. Good is the bare minimum. You also have to work hard and be lucky. Get out of here with you're "I'm good" bullshite. That's the mere entry pass.
