Full disclosure, it's about UFOs. It includes interviews with high-level government and US Military officials including retired Senator Harry Reid, John Podesta, Deputy Defense Secretary David Norquist, plus many high-ranking military officers. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, nor really a UFO believer, but what the actual frick? That's some well-documented and really weird shite.

Despite any preconceived notions you may have, the documentary is very well put together. It has great interviews, archival footage, newspaper articles, police reports, etc; and is presented fairly objectively. This isn't some history channel ancient alien garbage, it's nicely done.

The Zimbabwe school case at the end was especially interesting/weird and I haven't been able to find any real explanations for that. Stephen Spielberg is the one who put the filmmaker onto that case.

Anyway, it's available on YouTube TV and Hulu. Curious who on this board has saw it and what you think.

Yea, if you haven’t turned the corner on the ufo issue by now then you are straggling. It’s real. There was another mass school landing in Australia in the 60’s that is interesting as well. Same deal. Everyone is grown up now.

The more we find out about galaxies, black holes, etc, its naive to think there isn't something like us in the world.

The Pentagon is supposed to release some stuff soon.

I think governments know shite but they know if they released what they know we couldnt handle it.

Amazon ( I think ) has it. I thought about it, but then when I saw Harry Reid, I balked. The man is an unrepentant, pathological liar. He also may be brain damaged. But aside from my personal views on him, I've come to the overall conclusion about this topic ...

No amount of blurry photos, shaky cam video, " official " reports and sincere testimony will ever convince me. We've seen it already. The cow mutilations, the 'inconclusive' tests , even the USS Nimitz tic-tac incident off of CA and then more recently, the triangle objects.

I was already in the SETI camp, when it comes to ETs, assuming they're out there, we'll get some signals long before they show up. But until then, show me solid evidence. Not Daryl and his brother Daryl out fishin' one night, out in the sticks....

Then go ahead and watch and come back and tell us what you think. What's the worst that could happen?

I waste my time on more of the same. See above

Look at the USS Nimitz tic tac incident. We have multiple sources of information , people who are on this scene eye witnessing it with corroborating evidence of others on the ship, multiple ships and what do we really know?

And almost more importantly, this took place in 2004. Look around the world and see what impact it has had on our daily lives.

Have we had seen a fleet of ships disappear, or a squadron of jet fighters forced out of the sky? Things have carried on as they normally would, so what are we to make of these alleged supernatural or extra terrestrial phenomena or incidents ?

If “they” are really here, the don’t seem to be doing very much.

It's a pretty good documentary. Honestly, I don't understand why people don't care about stuff like this. The implications of it are massive and it answers one of humanity's biggest questions that has lingered for thousands of years.

It just shows you how effective the government's campaign to make a mockery of the subject has worked. People are dismissive from the gate without a shred of research on their part. It takes some work to cut through all the bs in the field, but once you do it is quite fascinating.

2 main reasons:

1 - the implications from a religious standpoint

2 - the "Ok there is life on other planets. That's cool. Now what?" thought process, which is where I am.

I 100% believe there is life or has been life elsewhere in the universe. Its seemingly an impossibility that we are alone. I don't know if they have visited us, as like you said, there is quite a bit of bullshite to cut through in all of this that its hard to determine what is real and what isn't. But I can't rule out the possibility either. It fascinates me, but at the end of the day, unless aliens really start affecting our lives, most people aren't really going to care all that much.

Because there is not one shred of physical evidence. Today, everyone in this country has essentially the greatest camera ever created in their pockets and sightings have plummeted.
You should read a book called Bad UFO: Critical Thinking about UFO Claims by Robert Sheaffer.

that's kind of ridiculous. the cameras on phones are not meant for long shots. Sightings tend to go in waves. Either way, it wouldn't be surprising because people's heads are down, not up. i've also looked at all of the counterarguments and materialistic physics approach. I'm constantly weighing that. i've gone back and forth on this for years.

I don’t know why Bob Lazar would be sticking to the same story and details for 40 years

He was interviewed on tv in the 80s about his job at Area 51 and how he was on a team to reverse engineer a UFO they found

He said the name of the metal that wasn’t from earth and a decade later the pentagon confirmed that metal was real.

This shite has always fascinated me, but I still remain on the skeptic side of things. I want to believe in it, I just can't. I've seen numerous docs about it and still remain skeptical.

I do think there is life "out there" somewhere...it's a statistical impossibility that there isn't. I just don't think we've been visited and/or fricked with by aliens. And even though there are definitely some weird things that have happened here and there, it's still hard to chalk it up as intelligent life forms visiting us. That's pretty much where I stand on it for now.

ETA: I think I've seen this one, but can't remember. So I may check it out soon. I always love stuff like this as long as it's not too overly ridiculous.

It's a big arse sky.

If a sufficiently advanced alien race doesn't want you to know they are coming, you won't know they are coming. We too often tend to think about things only in the realities we understand. There is so much we don't understand. Clarke's 3rd Law is always the go to.

I 100% believe that there are unfathomable numbers of highly advanced civilizations amongst the stars and an equally unfathomable amount of life everywhere it is possible for it to develop. As Ian Malcolm says “life finds a way”

I also 100% believe that we have never been visited, never will be visited, and we never will visit them. The distances are part of the design of the universe
