Wife and I are big fans of the Office. We Have to go to Pennsylvania for a few days, and are within a short drive to Scranton. Not sure if it would be worth checking out for the day? Any sites worth seeing for a fan of the show?

(I know it wasn’t filmed in Scranton, but I’ve heard people say there are landmarks or places in the city that pay homage to the show.)

Not worth it. It has a crime problem and is in the Poconos. Outside of the sign, which is not even the same, not worth it. Go to Philly.

it's not as picturesque as Allentown but probably better than Reading.

Yes, flew into the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton airport, then drove through Scranton on the way to the Poconos. Long before The Office.

It was interesting to see US Hwy 11 up there.

Toby believes the man convicted was not the real Scranton Strangler. The real killer is still on the loose.

The Erie-Lackawana Station Hotel in Scranton is in the old RR main terminal and it's an interesting building with a huge atrium.

(A pretty good Italian restaurant two blocks south) (and we never did find "Steam Town", the repository of millions of your tax dollars, and only one sign pointing sort of north. (We circled the block four times.)
