Anchorman the legend of ron burgundy is extremely funny and entertaining. The supporting cars was great too, not just will Ferrell.

I normally love Ferrell's stuff, but I saw Anchorman after several people told me how hilarious it was and I was disappointed. It was just OK to me, and didn't live up to the buildup.

It's kinda the same way with the commericals, when I see him I smile and expect to laugh, but I just don't.

Yes. They're ruining a classic by forcing him in advertising and having him be a real anchor. It's not that original and I expect the second movie to be a letdown.

This and I'm what some here would consider old. I think it's trying to be cool and hate on something popular. Whoever thought Elf was his funniest movie, Jesus H Christ I bet you're a blast.

Or some people just don't like everything you do. As long as they don't become a douche about it and make a comment about how much they don't like it every chance they get, then whatever.

I don't want to meet the person that doesn't think Step Brothers is funny. We wouldn't get along.

Didn't find the character or the movie particularly funny on initial viewing. Steve Carrell's character is almost unwatchable.

do you really love anchorman, or are you just saying it because you saw it?

I'm going by the rule of "if they are just saturating every single media outlet with constant and unending advertisement about this movie then it is probably an abortion"

The more marketing and exposure a movie gets, the worse the movie sucks.

Anchorman 2 will probably suck.

his harry carray skit was kinda funny for 2 minutes... but generally went on for five more

which is probably the story for almost all of his material... develop a single possibly funny idea and beat it into the ground for the next half a decade.

Those are my thoughts, too. And I find it's true for a lot of SNL cast members who go on to do movies. They have this one character/persona they parrot again and again. But hey... if people are willing to pay money for it more power to them.

Or they actually have taste in comedy. Lot of the younger peeps seem to gravitate towards these 'comedians' that are mostly about physical comedy, toilet humor, and yelling/babbling. There's no real creativity or actual comedy writing involved.

truth

my wife loves step brothers, and she usually hates crude content. even she was able to make an exception for that one

One of them was pretty funny. He's starting to come off as a try hard now.

I don't know how you can say this one looks bad after saying the first was great. They look exactly the same.

A lot of people will be disappointed by the new one just because they're older now. Somebody that loved the first one as a 22 year old, won't like the new one as much as a 31 year old. I didn't like Anchorman that much, so I doubt I'll see this one.

It is A LOT of marketing.

Anchorman is by far my favorite thing he's done.
