Does anyone agree that the writers have made it too obvious that Jamie is going to kill Cersei?

Sense Jamie just left winter fell to go save her, I think it’s not obvious at all that he is the one who will kill her.

No. If anything it will be out of left field if he kills her. The books are way more obviously building up to this since Jaime and Cersei never remotely reconciled after his return from the Starks captivity and actively hates her at this point.

I don’t think his position is that simple now.

But then again I’m usually pretty good at predicting movies/tv shows. Don’t always get it right of course, but I just think he knows his sister is a count and knows he can get close enough to her to pull it off. And being known as the “Kingslayer” is just makes sense for him to come full circle and pull it off.

Sometimes it’s good to be obvious. He HAS to kill her to complete his character arc, just like the Hound has to kill Robert Strong/Gregor. You want to have some of these great moments that people are constantly thinking about and looking forward to. I have no issue with it whatsoever.

Striking a good balance of traditional narrative satisfaction + shock/subversion is key

I agree. As he was leaving Brienne he was very down on himself and saw that the scale was tipping to Cersei. Redemption

Was it ?

Speaking of digital altering, did HBO do something with Ep 3? I rewatched the end of that before ep 4, and I swear it looked different. The dragons fighting looked bleached and colorized, so you could easily tell Rhaegon from Viserion. There were several other scenes in the 'dark' that didn't look nearly as dark, and IMO looked the worse for it.

Now, I might have tinkered some with my TV, and some settings might not have kicked in until I turned it back on. I tweaked some things on my first rewatch, but it didn't change things much... but then when I saw it Sunday it looked crazy different.

That would make too much sense.

Actually, I am expecting the little Stark girl to appear out of nowhere to kill Cersei.

This pretty much sums up my point.

Jamie is likely to be executed. He isn’t killing Cersei

Sandor killing him then dying of his wounds seems like most likely outcome. Gregor whipping his arse would be pretty deflating

Jamie will kill Cersei - then remove his face to reveal that it is really Arya who killed him somewhere along the King's Road and took his face.

The show has ruined Jaime Lannister. He's the best character in the books by far and they shite all over him.

..maybe Arya putting him out of his misery?

She told him before the red wedding that she was going to put a sword through his skull. Re-Watched that episode earlier today.
