If you like comedy, "I recommend Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid", along with "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" and "The Way of the Househusband".

I remember Serial Experiments Lain, which was a very unusual story but interesting.

Way of the House Husband is great.

Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon was way more action oriented and political than I expected for a concept so quirky. I still need to finish the last season that came out.

Slowly working my way through One Piece

The show has horrible pacing but that’s also because they don’t want to catch up the Manga. Otherwise it’s a solid story with some great characters

I would recommend anyone and everyone watch One Pace if you’re going to watch One Piece.

It’s an individually cut fan edited community driven version of the show that takes out all scenes not in the manga. It shortens the 1000+ 20 minute episodes to 400+ 20-30 minute episodes. The pacing is still rough at times but its 100000 times better. Can’t recommend it enough

Also, I can’t believe I just had to scroll through almost 60 pages of this thread to find a single mention of Hunter x Hunter, especially with all the hype Yu Yu Hakusho (same author) got in this thread

Hunter x Hunter is the best ever IMO

So I watched the first two episodes of SpyxFamily and yeah it is fantastic. I actually appreciated the fact that the characters that we knew would get together still ended up together for a logical reason instead of just the usual "because their the main characters". I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season.

Oh and Love After World Domination has some serious horny issues. I'm all for it, but I watched it after SpyxFamily and I had my kids with me.

Just finished Goblin Slayer. Great dark fantasy series I would highly recommend. There’s a second part coming out maybe in 2023.

Bumping this thread. New trailer for one of the most anticipated new anime to come out in a long time just dropped Chainsaw Man official trailer #2

This is going to be an insane watch, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

Did you watch 2nd Gig as well?

Serial Experiment Lain should be on your list.

Sounds sort of like DBZ Abridged, though they also redubbed it to be way funnier - but in the process they streamlined the story.

And honestly they make Vegeta's and Gohan's fights with Cell SO MUCH BETTER in the process.

Same. Im almost to episode 900 which is insane but here we are. I switched to One Pace during the painfully long arc i just finished bc the pacing is so horrific and it's a much better experience. Wish i had switched earlier.

Love the show though.

surely Attack on Titan has been mentioned already, but if not I’ll mention it

I don’t think it perfectly stuck the landing near the end of the series, but S3 is nearly perfect anime

I think that show offers very relevant social commentary that can’t really be talked about without spoiling the whole show.

Just started Cannon Busters on Netflix.

Here's a hype except from an article.

quote:

Adapted from a comic book series written and created by LeSean Thomas (The Boondocks, The Legend of Korra), Cannon Busters is equal parts Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, Samurai Champloo, and Gurren Lagann, all expertly blended into one great-looking homage to classic '90s anime and Gainax's unique touches.

It's some big talk to be mentioned with the GOAT Adult Swim animes, but it does a really good job building its own world and stories while blending themes and elements from some of the best.

Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3 will release March 4th. But fear not, because it still won’t end with that. Final Season Part 3 Part 2 will release later this year.

Anyone watching anything this season? Tengoku Daimakyo (Heavenly Delusion) hooked me from the first episode. Also watching Jigoraku and Mashle.
