Watched this and thought it was pretty good. It was pretty gross actually but the intent was to make the viewer uncomfortable. The national obsession and exploitation of the subject of the film was always in poor taste and super creepy. What that audience wants is whats in this movie. More degradation and obectification of a flawed person.

I turned it off after about 30 min. The presentation was very strange, I couldn’t get into it. The initial childhood scene with the fire was creepy AF.

Its all pretty gnarly but thats the point. I would recommend trying it again. At what point is enough going to be enough with the interest in the subject. Same story over and over again just more graphic. Cosplay jfk and marlyn rough sex. Audience is openly mocked for wanting to see it. Nobody should want to see that crap is the point.

Not your normal type of movie. More artsy. But I enjoyed it. And yes she is super hot.

The feminist are up in arms.

I don’t understand the point of the 2 gay dudes. Is that part just fiction?

Oh man this is really bad. I'm usually fine with artsy films but this tries WAY too hard. You've got to have enough substance between the "art" and Blonde just doesn't have that, which is even more surprising because there's plenty of material to work with.

This reminds me of those late night IFC films that were really just porn

I made it until the mom was trying to drown the kid in the tub (which wasn’t very far). That was enough for me.

I have 49 minutes left- I'll have to finish this later but there HAS to be more to Marilyn Monroe than this. We know nothing about her actual personality other than that she's passive... it's like Freud wrote this movie. If the point of all this is that she's been so victimized over the years that she doesn't even have a personality anymore, then they need to spend way more time depicting what made her this way.

Yeah, it's one thing if this was a one-note movie about a crack-head prostitute and depicted all the events of mental, physical & sexual abuse an orphan may endure, but this was Marilyn Monroe, who was on-screen full of life, vivacious, charismatic, playful, funny, etc. and none of that was depicted off-screen.

It wasn't all an act. Every actor brings a piece of themselves to a role. But you wouldn't know of her off-screen vitalty or her magnetism from this portrayal. There was a considerable period of triumph in her life in which she rose up out of the clutches of inevitable despair to become a worldwide icon, but this movie fails to balance it out with any personal triumphs and chose only to highlight misery.

Edward G. Robinson Jr was definitely doing Monroe. Not sure about Charlie Chapin Jr.

They both die young and were portrayed as worthless fools in the movie.

Joltin Joe, though never mentioned by name fares no better.

Watched about 45 minutes then cut it off esp after learning it’s a fictional depiction.
