This entire season smacks of WAYYYYY too much manipulation of the show by the producers
The extra golden tickets
The retarded Hollywood week
The weird J-lo video and promo of her new album
The overwrought Casey drama crap
And now the clear favorite goes home with 8 people left
I know the ratings are down but clearly the producers don't have faith in the show standing on it's own legs so they are manipulating the show and us as fans in the process

Actually, the ratings are really good this year. Its demise due to Simon leaving never came to fruition.

i havent read tonight's thread....so this might have already been said..if it has- disregard it...
-im thinking this is a clear case of when people call in to vote, they vote on others(when they are aware that pia is the best(or one of the best)), b/c of that "well pia will obviously be in the top 3, b/c she is the total package and is easily getting all the votes--i might as well try and save one of the underdogs that i like--" kind of attitude...that is really the only logical reason i can come up with why that girl would be out at this point in the competition...

Paul would be running away with it if he was allowed to sing his own songs. But that just my opinion, and I'm a little biased.

Nope...he has his own record deal away from Idol. I remember hearing about that
FAIL!
Daughtry is on 19 records which is the same label all the winners sign to.
Also, the label has the right to choose their option with all the top 10's.

Yeah. He puts on a good show live. I like his music with The Grand Magnolias/Hightide Blues.

I really like his style of music. I wish I could have been at Auburn the same time he was but I'm a couple years late. I've been able to get out and see his band a couple times when they've played here though. It's always a good time. I've had his songs on my itunes for over a year now.

Yeah I was visiting some friends in Auburn one weekend and he was playing live then. That's when I bought his music. It was something different.

The song he has about his friend that died of cancer is amazing. It's sad...but that is a very awesome song. After hearing that song I looked that girl up and found her story.

He wouldn't need to. If Simon was still there, Pia would still be there. He would have told America who sucked every week and they would have listened. America hated Simon, but they damn sure listened to him.
By the way, does anyone else think the judges will have multiple saves next year? They started the save because of Daughtry. I'm thinking next season they will have at least 2 saves.
