Am I being a dick if I don't think Freaks and Geeks is Brilliance Personified?

because i'm like 3 episodes in and while it's not some shite show, it's not this amazing thing that i'm missing out on

it's so beloved that i feel like kind of a dick for having this opinion (like hating somebody's kid)

The premise just doesn't interest me, I've never even watched it.
Maybe it's only good if you can relate to being a freak or geek
(just kidding F&G fans)

The acting on that show causes me physical pain

No. Honestly, I thought Popular was a better show at that time, although it's hardly remembered now.

I feel like Undeclared should get more love than Freaks and Geeks.

everyone always says how good it is. i haven't gotten around to watching it yet but this thread has saddened me. i had high expectations for it based on the praise it gets

Seriously, the worst actor in the history of television.

Whenever I used to watch the show I would just sit in amazement that someone actually thought it was a good idea to give that kid a fairly prominent role in a television show. I mean, wow, every line just hurts it's so bad.

They didnt need to act. They were perfect for their roles and were just themselves whic made the show so feel so realistic

I guess one man's realistic is another man's painfully awkward

I felt the same way. Couldn't get past a few episodes.

I also never got into The Wire either. I am an M/TV Board flunky I guess.

I know both are worshiped here but I didn't care for either one.

Seth Rogan is cringe worthy in his role. It's like high school drama play bad acting.

Yeah it was awkward. Completely agree with that

Newflash: life is awkward. Noone in real life has the right thing to say all the time like most movies/tv shows. Thats realistic
