Sleeves are not “made.”.

Yes they are, in terms of cloning their original bodies. The scene with Kovacs sister in season 1 where she had like 20 sleeves is an example of this, and Bancroft had copies of himself running around, as well as his wife having her pleasure island where she multiple clones herself. Kovacs double sleeved himself in a clone in season one as well at the end.

Most can't afford to clone themselves, as it is extremely expensive. Hence you have Trepp struggling to pay off her kids sleeve that isn't even his original body in season 2.

Kovacs dna and digital mind was just on file so they could resleeve him.

Yes, there are exceptions to every rule. Yes, the über rich Meths can “manufacture” a cloned sleeve.

I do not think that the poster to whom I replied was asking about Meths. He was asking a more general question.

Finished it last night. Pretty solid season. Finale was fan-friggen-tastic.

I’ve never read the books. Is there enough material for more seasons? I sure do hope so.

Finished it Friday.

I enjoyed it but you can tell the producers were asked to do more with less. This season reeked of budget cuts. All of the episodes were shorter than last season and they only produced eight episodes as compared to ten.

Even then, the sets were all considerably smaller and less intricate. Two full episodes take place out in the woods, away from the interesting world they've built throughout the story. The cast was a lot smaller too with fewer side characters.

I enjoyed the story and thought Anthony Mackie made a good Tak, but if they bring this back for season 3 they have to increase the budget and swing for the fences again.

I take back my previous criticism of Mackie being Tak because he didn't have that IDGAF mentality in the first few episodes. I thought he was perfect for the rest of the season different plot needed different emotions.

Really liked it. Obviously it has faults.

I’ll probably be in the minority, but I didn’t like the ending. Having Poe store a copy of Tak after he sacrificed himself to save Kel seemed cheap and contrived. I mean, you’re already in a world where death is virtually meaningless. Do we need to make it even more meaningless?

They basically combined the second and third stories together in this one. There isn't any book story left really. They'll just but making it up on their own going forward. And they had already changed a ton of it anyway.
