I did a re-watch of S1 over the weekend. I can't see how S2 could possibly top the T&A greatness of S1.

Oh, and RIP Poe/The Raven I think I enjoyed his character more than any other.

I read somewhere they took the nudity out pretty much altogether.

The 2nd book was more action and sci-fi driven than the first. I dont remember if the sex and t&a was non-existent, but it didn't play such a key role like it does in the 1st book.

I'm really not sure how they are going to do the last 3rd of this season without significant cgi or a much larger budget.

I think I saw in a set picture that Poe is back this season.
Not sure how , but he was definitely a crowd favorite

That's a bad move. Not only did they have some exceedingly hot women doing nudes but the nudity actually played into the inhumanity of not caring what happened to their own or the "sleeves" of others.

A really excellent point. Too bad they didn't consult with you when they wrote Season 2.

Towards the end of Season 1 I was wondering what death really meant with all the violence and backups and switching sleeves. When Tak destroyed all of Rei's backups and she was down to just that one stack, I thought "she's so vulnerable now, she could really die!" In a world like that, there would be so much violence.

There are 5 scheduled seasons and it was designed for a new actor to play the lead in each season.

This is as bad as a show that goes all out with nudity in the first couple of episodes and then it's non existent in the rest of the series, the bait and switch. Sex Education was bad at about this. First two episodes yep, the rest of season 1 and season two nope.

EXACTLY!

Kovacs is NOT “White.” He just spent a few months in a “white” sleeve.

It is an ANTHOLOGY, and the entire PREMISE is that the same consciousness resides in interchangeable physical sleeves (of whatever ethnicity). By the end of the series, I suspect that Will Yun Lee (as the “original” Kovacs) will have appeared in twice as many episodes as any actor or any ethnicity. He ain’t Aryan.

1 episode in and it looks awesome. The progression of the combat sleeve technology should be awesome. I remember the first episode from the book kind of but I cannot remember if he had Poe with him in the books. From what I remember this part of the books did not have much sex but later on that might change in later books.

Watched first two episodes last night.

I'm still really freaking liking the show, but Mackie lacks a lot of the nuances that I loved about Joel Kinnaman. Mackie shows a lot more emotion than Kinnaman did, and it makes it harder to accept that it's the same guy.

The show is still great, though. First two episodes were a joy to watch.

I binged quite a few episodes last night, it's a weak sister compared to S1. Without getting into spoilers the main difference appears to be S1 was a whodunit with interesting curves thrown in, S2's story looks like was supposed to be a whodunit but is being eclipsed by the ancillary stories.

I'm not through yet (the end of the last episode introduced "Evergreen") but thus far that's how it seems to be playing out.

Halfway through the season and loving it. Little adjustment to the new style at first but Im digging the new storyline with the "archeology" stuff(avoiding spoilers)

I was having trouble with so many new terms being thrown out with not much explanation until later on so I found this article that is basically just a glossary for new terms used in the show.
