I'm not sure what was more impressive. Taking down a moose with a bow and arrow or processing it with only a pocket knife then transporting a couple of hundred lbs of meat on foot before dark.

Can they just kill anything on this show without having tags / license?

Been very enjoyable and love that Axmen is back on right before.

I think they flashed a graphic that said he walked 6 miles back and forth to his camp with the meat.

It's going to suck if he doesn't win with that accomplishment. He was actually using a multi-tool. Much more useful than a swiss army knife as it has a good set of pliers built into it. The blade is not the best part of a multi-tool which makes him processing the moose with it damned impressive even if his did screw up breaking the stomach and contaminating some of the meat. I just hope he doesn't eat any of it.

I wonder if in future seasons people will try for big game more now that it's been done. Some of them don't even pick a bow/arrow in their items.

How far apart are they?

I wonder if the moose scent would make the other animals within a 15-20 mile radius act differently.

There definitely appeared to be more tracks at that time.

Jordan is going to have to have some really really shitty luck to not win. He’s got enough meat to last a year.

I’m curious how far that shot was. Didn’t seem that close.

Episode 6:

The Holiday had the show skip a week and I was out of town and just got caught up with the latest episode.

Really surprised Brandon Tapped. he had plenty of food, good shelter but couldn't handle the loneliness and boredom. This is the aspect of the show that I find fascinating. How the human brain can be a person's worst enemy. Brandon had a really good chance of winning the game.

His wife may show him what 6 months of isolation is like when she sees he could have brought 500,000 home..LOL

Unless Jordan loses his moose meat, no one has the resources to beat him. It’ll be up to him how long he wants to stay out there assuming good health. Hell he has enough time and energy to build a really nice hut now.

I don’t know if they are showing it more or if I’m not remembering the other seasons, but it just seems like a lot more food is being caught here. Lots of rabbits and squirrels instead of mice, fish big enough to give several meals, grouse, and the first big game harvested.

I still don’t get the people that leave b/c of loneliness or missing home or whatever. What the hell did you go on the show for in the first place if you knew that was going to be an issue. They all knew damn well that they were going to get homesick and didn’t have the mentality to stay for the long haul. It aggravates me that they wasted a spot on the show when someone less of a vagina could have been out there and competed.

I think the show runners traded off a place that easier to catch food for knowing the cold will probably be a major player as the days move deeper in the year.

If food was as abundant at some of the other locations some of those people that were fine with the solitude could have gone well past 90+ days which I think the longest season went.

But I am with on quitting for loneliness. With plenty of food and shelter would seem to allow the participant time to find a hobby, build things, explore. How about making your shelter even better insulated for the onset of colder weather? Sitting on your butt allowing your mind to talk you out of 500K bucks is the worst strategy.

Hypothetical: If you were on the show, do you take a picture of your family or not?

First thought is yes obviously. But the more I think about it I think that might make it harder. This sounds bad but to stay out there long enough to win I think I'd have to forget about my life back home for the time being and just focus like I was going to live in the wilderness.

You have to forget your life. I travel 100 percent for work and after a few years of doing it, it makes it easier to do the job if you completely forget your friends family home and do the job st hand. Plus the sex is awesome when you do see your wife.

Bump for EP 7

Jordan is a beast! First he takes down a moose with a bow and then he takes out a Wolverine that was stealing his food with an ax or hatchet at midnight. Unless he eats some bad food or gets injured he has this. I can't imagine boredom or loneliness being an issue...he can go wrestle a bear or something

Being too sensitive to the animals and outdoors sometimes end up like that. She was too worried about the Squirrels feeling and she paid the price. She had the arrow tip on the rodents throat and pulled away. Quick and efficient is the best.

Yeah that was definitely a huge mental and physical mistake. They showed somebody tapped on the next episode. I would think it has to be her.

Since I think this is a 10 episode series we have 3 left and 6 people remaining. I would imagine the cold and lack of food is going to speed up people tapping.

Literally laughed out loud when she got bit. What the hell did she think was going to happen?!
