I would be hesitant to eat raw fish eggs from a lake fish.

Sounds like he didn’t know how long it was dead in the net.

Has to be nice to score that much protein out there.

I knew Ray was going to regret killing that squirrel. That solitude will frick with your head.

I like the USAF survival guy to win. When they showed his wife in a wheelchair and all those little kids at home. They’re going to have to drag him out to get him to leave.

Being an Air Force Vet with a daughter currently serving in the USAF, the AF guy is my sentimental favorite...I too was moved by his personal story.

Ray's lost it. I feel bad for him but this is part of the show that fascinates me the most. These are all very capable people to survive, but the mental fatigue of the solitude is the star of this show. This aspect turns the strongest into the weakest in a matter of days.

It looks like this season has the ability to gather more serious protein than in the past and according to next weeks promo, A moose may be taken down and that would be something to see. That would provide all the protein a person would need if the food could be preserved.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they are going to preserve those proteins.

Yeah this season is shaping up to be pretty interesting. Seems to be several strong candidates based off their backgrounds.

Food preservation would be my biggest weak point on this show, I'd love to learn how to preserve stuff like they did in the old days.

What season did the guy smoke all that salmon, season 3?

For once, I’d like to watch this show and not hear about some pansy crying about killing a fricking animal. Jesus it’s irritating.

I want to know what the guy did with the 4 rabbits, and the big lake trout. Want to see how they are preserving them, and storing them.

I find it fascinating two people caught fish making artificial spoons. That’s awesome.

Smoking the fish seems to be the only way to preserve it... but I would really be worried about the scent attracting predators.

That’s what I’d like to see. So you smoked it, great. Now how do you keep animals away from it hanging in your shelter smelling it up for a week?

They probably build a storage hut or pole that is really really high up, but hard for anything to climb and get to...but I remember they have wolverines there.

Hang it from a tree high enough where most animals and critters can't reach. In Scouts they are called "Bear Bags". I think they need to be about 50 to 100 feet away from camp

Not surprised Ray tapped out. He was mentally checking out on the last episode. Not getting enough food combined with the solitude really took him out quickly.

Looks like the Bow and Arrow is working better this season than in the past.

Looks like the next episode may have a real chance to see a Moose get taken down.

It looked like there would have been more damage from that fire. It looked like an inferno from the previous episode.

I felt pretty relieved when that other girl found that grouse she shot.

Ray was cooked mentally as soon as he killed that squirrel. He maybe could have bounced back but the lack of food finished him off.

Did they show how far that moose was when the one dude shot his arrow. It looked like it would have taken a pretty incredible shot and it sounds like he barely missed.

Weather is turning to shite.

Also I can’t imagine how scary it would be to try to sleep with that much moose meat in your shelter.

I notice some of the moose he was eating wasn't cooked thoroughly and I wonder if he's going to get sick from it. With the weather turning cold and his ability to smoke the meat, he could really stay out there a good while if he can avoid sickness, injury, loneliness and predators coming for his food.
