Nearly two months after a pair of felony charges made in January 2020 against Justin Roiland were unearthed by NBC News, the Rick and Morty creator says the case against him has been dismissed. He finally responded to the accusations against him publicly in a statement posted to Twitter.
“I have always known that these claims were false — and I never had any doubt that this day would come,” Roiland wrote. “I’m thankful that this case has been dismissed but, at the same time, I’m still deeply shaken by the horrible lies that were reported about me during this process. Most of all, I’m disappointed that so many people were so quick to judge without knowing the facts, based on solely on the word of an embittered ex trying to bypass due process and have me ‘canceled.’ That it may have succeeded, even partially, is shameful. However, now that the legal case has ended, I’m determined to move forward and focus both on my creative projects and restoring my good name.”

There's a lot more than just the texts. He got metoo'd with several staffers, writers, etc coming forward after the charges were made known. He's far past being brought back now, especially given all the other shite Adult Swim went through around women in their workspace.

Up until about 100 years ago, once you were fertile, you were marriable.
It’s not right. I don’t agree with it. It’s barbaric viewed through today’s lense, and I’m glad we have a more civilized world that is kinder and gentler but it’s the world that was and acknowledging it isn’t a mortal sin.

Just from that snippet, he isn’t saying he’s attracted to 13 year olds. Seems out of context, although admittedly not reading the article. I don’t know anything about this situation except for what’s posted in this thread.

Pretty sure there are stories about Singer and boys while making Usual Suspects and Apt Pupil, complete with the raw footage from Pupil’s shower scene apparently being shown at orgies he would throw.
