Who is getting killed by the plant alien hanging from the ceiling? We saw a glimpse of its tentacle when Isaac fed it last week right before his untimely demise.
I'm curious on that as well since Isaac is gone. I tabbed it for him.

I think it’s the brother because it’s been foreshadowing the xeno/eye battle and Wendy is clearly pissed at her brother but is also going to be conflicted when battling it. She will do her little raptor click noise as she’s getting her arse kicked and two xenos attack the eye monster as the Jurassic Park banner is torn from the ceiling and floats down in a dramatic final scene…..hey wait a second!

And, since they are on an island, a sudden volcanic eruption, and eventually, the entire set sinks into the ocean, taking all evidence of the specimens with it.

It’s definitely going to be the brother. He said he wants it to be a simpleton in order to properly gauge the intelligence of the eye monster. Would explain why the brother’s dullness has seemed kind of exaggerated in this. And he’s already shown a dislike for him.
Wish they’d have just left the Xenomorphs out of this.

Frankly the eye is much more interesting than the xenomorphs right now. I’m calling it Kang until we get a proper name for it.

I just hope the eye monster hates the xenomorphs because they don’t have eyes it can take over. That’s why I want there to be enmity.

Seems to be the prevailing sentiment , which is hilarious since this is the “Alien” franchise!
Critter is a guest start in his own series.

But back to this...
In a sci-fi series? About the Alien Xenomorph? Yeah, kinda. But more importantly, how about some competency??
They spent 10's of millions on set design, special effects on the aliens, the futuristic gear, space ships, but so much of this has been wasted of derp writing and nonsensical story lines.
I'll say it again, they did a really good job casting, got some very good actors, made the show LOOK super impressive, so why not just put the same effort into the story and character building? Doesn't take that much more money, just hiring the right people behind the scenes.

I don't love her control of the alien. I think it should have killed her brother. Crazy how she controls it.
In the next episode to get back into canon everyone and ask the synths need to die. Also they caught the flies so easily. But looks like they have no interest in attacking humans. The opposite of everything else.
Not bad enough to make me rant like SEK and MK but still yes some bad writing.

Remember, Wendy killed the first Xeno that took her brother. Back at the crash site. The one she’s been communicating with is the one which came out of the lung which belonged to her brother. And I’m not even sure she realized any of that. They just glossed over the fact that he got a whole new lung. How many weeks or months would that even take to recover?

I like the camo look on the Xeno. I do not like Wendy being able to control or talk to the Xeno, but at the same time I do like the fact she can call it and it comes and wrecks everyone.
I think I would be cool with Wendy turning on everyone with her Xenos by her side like devil dogs.
I would like to see a series on how they caught all of the specimens on the ship. Or at least the Eyeball monster.
The worst part of the episode was the stupid way the hybrids snuck the doc out to the beach. Why were they struggling to carry him?

There’s zero desperation on my part. This series is doing all the heavy lifting of denigrating itself.

They can freeze people for hyper sleep, send ships to distant galaxies, have robots that think for themselves, and can put a child's consciousness into a robot body but you're worried about the recovery time for a futuristic lung transplant?

Not worried in the least. But human body is still a human body.
This show makes zero effort to stay in continuity or its own reality.

It's a sci fi show and they have sci fi medicine dude. They don't need to explain medicine from 100 years into the future. You really are just looking for things to get mad about.

I mean the easy counter is recovery time of someone who tore an ACL in real life 20 years ago has been pretty close to cut in half today.
Not crazy to think with their technology it would be far more advanced healing.

Well and the creators have openly discussed how it is an advanced society but that part of their Easter Egg is maintain the visual aesthetics from the Alien movies in the 70s/80s.
If you have Hulu, recommend checking out some of the non-podcast extras where they talk about a lot of the details.
