Enjoyed the episode.
The series suffers from Halo-itus that it can’t be pure action all the time, but it does set up for some good scenes and suspense.
The xeno scene in the jungle was very raptor in Lost Worldesque.

I could go on a rant on how stupid this show is. Super convenient that they got caught, but then they didn’t. They got down to “the beach“ but then they had to go through the freaking jungle. That’s just bad planning by Morrow.

Yea Morrow all of the sudden becomes stupid because the plot needs him to. Kirsh planned conversations he couldn’t possibly have predicted among other things. Lol the raft and of course Wendy and her pet Xeno, the absolute most idiotic thing that’s ever happened in this franchises history. Look writers and directors have ruined stuff and created stupid storylines but this show ruined the Xenomorphs which does the most damage to the property. It’s the Obi-Wan show of the Alien universe.

Raj & Sméagol (I refuse to use their stupid TV show names) conveniently forget that they are hyper powered synthetics, but they just give up when Morrow tells them they are coming with him.
And speaking of Morrow, he went full Tyrion Lannister stupid towards the end of GoT, exactly when he needed to. WTH was that? Just roll up out of the water, all navy seal like, in broad daylight , toss their masks away because apparently they won’t be using those anymore… Really? How the hell were they supposed to get off the island?

I really tried.
I sat through three episodes.
Every time I think they’ve finally hit rock bottom—when it seems impossible they could write anything dumber or worse—they find a way to prove me wrong.
At this point, just take the franchise out back and bury it next to Star Wars, Marvel, Indiana Jones, LOTR, Narnia, Witcher, and so many others.
Today’s writers keep showing they’re miles less talented than those who came before them. And the worst part? They’re a generation that’s been told they’re brilliant every single day—so they actually believe they can “improve” on the work of far superior talent.

Morrow was my favorite character from the start but he as well as everyone else in the show just fell victim to its contrivances. The flashback episode did this to him a little bit but mostly the character just wasn’t exposed to as many and the actor did such a good job I actually liked him. Always like Olyphant as well his character was just all over the place and exposed to more of the bad writing.

I think the bald guy and Kirsch aren’t working with anyone else. I think they are planning to take over the company and get rid of boy cavalier or whatever his name is.
I know some like it but I don’t like Wendy talking to the Xenos. Very Jurassic World like with Blue. Think it would have been a way better story for her to “talk” to the xeno but later found out it didn’t matter and the xeno kills someone close and she realize her frick up. She realizes she isn’t special at all.
I also wish Ginger was actually translating the sounds Wendy heard (but wasn’t actually grasping the language) and was getting screwed up mentally explaining why she said she was pregnant. The xenos and face huggers were communicating their intention.
And no, not every intelligent species is going to know pi. Numbers can be different in other languages much less another species.
Agitates me two hybrids couldn’t just carry with one hand and run fast.
Spec ops throwing their mask away like they won’t need them again is retarded.

Enjoying Wendy using the Xenomoph. That was a fun interaction.
I got JP3 vibes when Dr. Grant used the 3D printed raptor fossil to call for help.
I did like its jungle camo design.

So who’s going to get the eye monster? The brother? Morrow? Lawd.
Has to be Dame Sylvia as a callback to that previous conversation where Boy K wished he had someone smart to talk to.

I’m going with the brother getting the eye. That guy sucks anyway. Wendy then has to take out the eye/brother with the help of a xeno. That episode didn’t really feel like Alien at all.
but last weeks episode was incredible.

The greatness of the Xeno’s as antagonists were their simplicity and what they represented. They’re simply a force of inevitability, you can’t reason with them and you have to sacrifice just to survive them. Wendy completely erases what they were. In true Disney fashion the Uber girl boss conquers the unconquerable and in the process destroys the foundation of this universe. Xenos do two things, they reproduce and destroy any perceived threat in their vicinity. They’re not your pet, they’re not your buddy or body guard. They’re a force of nature whose narrative purpose is to test the limits of human survival.

I believe that was done in Alien Covenant when David was communicating with the xeno's and the neomorphs.

I don’t know if Boy Wonder knew that Morrow had been captured at the time he said he knew who wanted to get the Eye/Krang. I’m thinking it’s the “mother” scientist.

Do you always expect hyperrealism in TV shows? I don’t.

C’mon, that was retarded. I mean, what was the point? They made such a display of tossing their mask into the ocean. What the hell were they gonna do next? They didn’t know that Arthur was just a dead piece of meat with no alien in him. What was the escape plan? And then for some reason, they decide to go take on the entire Prodigy security team with a full frontal assault on their facility. Really?
And I can’t overlook the sneaky reveal of catching the alien that slithered into the jungle.
It was super easy, barely an inconvenience.

This episode is the first time I had a problem with the writing. The whole escape plan and execution was really half-baked and it only led them back to where they were. But I’m not getting hung up whether soldiers keep their masks, location continuity errors, “where did that bamboo raft come from,” etc.

Oh thats what eventually takes him out (if Kirsh doesn’t first).
I’m just curious who ends up being the vessel to get close enough to him to do it.

Who is getting killed by the plant alien hanging from the ceiling? We saw a glimpse of its tentacle when Isaac fed it last week right before his untimely demise.
