Anyone else looking forward to this as much as myself?

A very big feat to begin bringing the former series (such as Murder House and Coven here, in S8) together. I hope they pull it off cleanly for the fans.

Seems even old Tate Langdon is back as the AntiChrists father (ghost). Starting to believe Tate is Satan and has been the entire time.

The first episode of the season is usually the best. It goes downhill quickly after that

American Horror Story is just grasping for straws now.

They are close to becoming or at Niptuck levels.

I agree Hotel and Roanoke were horrible. Wont debate and didnt watch the entire series, but last seasons cult went really far in getting back on path.

Cult allowed their best actors and actresses to lead and the story was good.

The first season and coven were very good in my own opinion.

Freak Show was solid. I really enjoyed the homage to classic horror with things like It, Psycho, etc...

To be honest, Twisty's tale is one of my favorite story lines ever put on television. And Dandy was great in that season as well.

I will give it a shot. I totally bailed last season when they brought in Lena Dunham.

I understand why many have a distaste/dislike of AHS, but Cult, Murder House, Coven, and yes even Freak Show, was good horror.

Roanoake, Asylum, Hotel to me were all weak horror and poorly made. Horror is the hardest genre to do well.

I like they are connecting two seasons and diving deeper into the universe. Will be a big undertaking, but if taken seriously it could be a homerun.

As i mentioned, i think Tate is actually Satan and i completely missed the connection until now. I could be wrong, but seems plausible.

Coven is one of the worst shows I have ever seen. Opinions vary though, clearly.

This is a show I wanted to like, and tried to as well. And I just don't. Because it sucks at almost every turn. The first season was okay, and I haven't seen the second. But Coven was so bad I lost interest and stopped watching. The Carnival one had promise but ended up being shite (though I enjoyed the carnival-related storylines). Hotel was marginally okay, but it took all of me to power through the rest of them on my DVR like 6 months after the finale aired. I finally just gave up on it at that point.

I am all about some horror shite, but this show falls flat for me in almost every single way.

I mostly agree. The first season and Freak show are the only ones I watched all the way through. The rest I just could not get interested in.

It is a shame what had happened to that genre. It went from psychologically disturbing suspenseful horror to jump scares and slasher porn.

First six episodes of season 1 scared the crap out of me. No sure if I was just hyped and then got into it but I jumped a few times when the lights were out.

Whole season was great.

Since then, some good episodes in a season and some I was like WTF am I watching.

Last season was decent.

Will watch tonight.

I watched Murder House and Asylum all the way and thoroughly enjoyed both.

Haven’t seen any of the other seasons though.

I will at least check in tonight and see how it goes.

Huh, I personally liked Hotel and Roanoke (not nearly as much as Asylum).

I didn't watch Cult because it started off with the whole political mess (Trump, etc) and honestly I get enough of that on my Facebook feed. My wife agreed so we didn't watch that season.

I liked both S1 and S2 as well. I thought last season wasn't bad either
