Watched last week's Emma Stone episode and last night's Adam Driver episode back to back. It's amazing how a host like Adam Driver can elevate that show. He's 100% into it and it shows.

How did this episode compare to Nate Bergatze, which was a home run?

She has a new movie that looks weirdly good.

I heard someone say once that she looks like the shrimp from the Muppets and now I can’t unsee it.

I read the synopsis of the book and saw who is directing it.

Oscar bait, but not my jam.

“I didn’t kill Han Solo, wokeness did”

Hard to believe they let that one in. I wonder if he went rogue.

I dunno... might be a good waste of a couple hours time.

I thought Old Friends was pretty funny. The purse one was stupid.

Apples and oranges. I think they did a good job of writing to Bergatze and he delivered. I think Driver elevated a lot of average sketches.

Abraham H. Parnassus is a top ten SNL skit all time for me. It's that funny. Even with stupid arse Pete Davidson, the horrible chick who plays the teacher, and the idiot girl who's really into it. They are all awful in the skit, but Driver is so great it doesn't even matter.

Agreed. He was 100% into the skit and character and that's why it's one of the greats.

Tbh, SNL has been great this season.

Adam Driver absolutely kills on the show because he clearly rehearsals harder and memorizes his lines better than all other hosts and most of the cast. He attacks every role with 100% commitment, and perfect comedic timing. Dude shows why he’s an a-list actor.

His commitment and unwavering eye contact during a sketch is what causes his scene partners to frequently break.

I actually don’t mind the teacher in this skit

The other two are bad I agree

Driver though is just spot on

Pete Davidson is the only weak link in that Oil Baron sketch. He broke character from the start. Villaseñor did fine as the psycho kid.

I’m no Davidson fan but I do give a little grace and put that in the category of David spade laughing at Farley as Matt foley.

Even as an actor and comedian I don’t see how can you not spontaneously laugh at that directly in front of your face.
