Enjoyed a lot of the elements of this one but it was a distant third in the series.

Very final (after the boat) scene was pretty well acted and scored.

I liked it but I agree it's the third best.
I did like the main characters and the subplot. That one slice of life before the world ended.

Knowing the aliens can't swim I would move onto a cruise ship.

I thought it was ok. The first half was strong, but then it got a bit boring when it turned into more of a love story with the two leads.

Saw it today.

Like someone said in another thread, I'm just glad I no longer have to see the damn trailer in the theater anymore. I must have seen it 30 times.

I love Lupita and Hounsou a lot but the trailers have been disappointing.

SPOILERS INCLUDED:

Wife and I saw it last night. Wasn't terrible but definitely fell short of the first two. Wish they would have chose a better story line. I mean more of before the creatures landed and the buildup from when they started reaking havoc across the world and how they were figuring out that the creatures attacked noise. Instead a story of pizza and survival of a stage 27 clinger British dude, a cat, and a doomed black lady is what we got

I loved the main character’s story. Though that was excellent and fit. I thought the British guy was good but we are missing so much of his back story his inclusion makes no sense and it definitely hurts the movie. Supposedly they cut out large portions of the movie where his backstory is he was suicidal about some thing or another.

The biggest complaint that I’ve seen and I agree with is for being a “day one” movie, we see shockingly little of day one. Really Lupita gets knocked out super early and we miss most of the carnage. Super disapointing. Still liked it enough but yeah, it was lacking

Agree with everyone else. It was decent, but not nearly as good as the first two.

Pretty unrealistic that though they were separated multiple times in the largest city in the country - ravaged and destroyed, no less - that she and the cat continued to find each other.

I really didn't like it. I thought the "too early" realizations about the monsters' weaknesses kind of takes away from the first two movies which were damn impressive.

I also hated the plot armor given to the mains in this one. Anyone else makes a tiny movement and the monsters attack immediately. A weakened cancer patient makes noise and outruns the monsters. I felt like the first two were much more careful in forcing even the mains to live by the rules.

Maybe I am misremembering and giving the first two more of a pass because they were so good, but I don't think I am.
