I don't necessarily mean the song is better sung. It's just the film leading up to the song makes it that much more impactful.

I honestly didn't think she should have been nominated. Mudbound was really good but Blige really didn't stand out to me at all. Holly Hunter had a much better performance in The Big Sick.
