first time i had seen a movie where the scenes were all out of order.
I still like it, but a lot of it doesn't really hold up. The shock value stuff lost its punch very quickly, and younger people I've watched it with, people who have been "shocked" their whole lives, just think the movie is corny and stupid.

I am not sophisticated enough to know whether it’s overrated or not.
I don’t think much of it but I am clueless about movies other than “yes I like it” or “no I don’t.”

It was #1 on the list of movies that I haven't seen yet. I don't know why I've avoided it for so long but I'll give it a shot.

The story of Pulp Fiction was told in a non-linear fashion, which is nothing at all like the parallel storylines in Godfather.
Reminds me of an old friend of mine, now deceased.
He saw it opening weekend as well, but not with me. He just could NOT wrap his head around the non-linear presentation of the storyline.
He instead thought it was cool because it had (as he put it) "alternate realities"-- "Man, Vincent Vega was dead, then he came back to life!"

it's worth a watch based on the list of cast members alone.
